Sounds you're doing really good, I have 7 more days of this liquid crap, 9-28 is banding date. I had a class this morning after preop, and confessed that I had eaten a boiled egg last night, and she told me that if I wasn't committed to this, maybe I had better rethink it. Can anybody tell me if you did any cheating preop that didn't hurt. That one little egg tested like steak, its not like I ate chocolate cake.

I so enjoyed your blog. I will be banded on 9-28, I am on my 5th day of protein shakes, I've been eating a baked pc on chicken or scrambled egg at supper time. That's all the cheating I do, do you think that's ok. I will be so glad when these 2 weeks are over. I wonder how we will look at Christmas?

I love the way you started you message. Isn't it crazy how sometimes we take so many things for granted. I am on day four of preop, and I do think God I have gotten this far. Excited to see what He has for all us bandster in the future, when we are all healthy and stronger and able to serve Him at our best.

Mandyrae: I am on day 4 and have 10 days to go. It hasn't been easy. The only time I get hungry is in the evenings when its time to feed my hubby. He's very good and tries to take care of himself. I have eaten a scrambled egg the first night and as long as I can get one little bit of something solid, it helps me, hope its not hurting anything else. I lost 4 lbs in 48 hours, and can't wait till 9-28 when I am banded. I love the Crystal lite sugar free popsicles.

Day three for me. Had a rough evening but much better today, especially when I stepped on the scales and had lost 4 lbs since 9-15.

Right now, I wouldn't mind a break from this liquid diet. Yesterday was my second day on them, and I did eat a scrambled egg last night, and that was all it took. Do you think I did something really bad, and is it ok to eat an egg a day til I get a little closer to 9-28, Surgery date?

The "God" think was a real issue for me too, and all those other questions you have crossed my mind to. A good friend reminded my that God expects us to care of our bodies, and he put that Dr. in our path to help us do just that. This surgery will equip us with better health, more energy to do the things that God planned for us.

Well Latin-starr, we are gonna be "banding buddies". I can't wait til we both have this behind us.

Yes, you think you are waiting forever but when you finally get the call, it seems like a whirlwind, my surgery is Tuesday, 9-28 at 7:30 a.m.

I am on my second day of liquid diet. Not bad right now because I am taking antibiotics for a kidney infection and my stomach is kinda upset due to the meds. But, in a few days I will probably going food crazy. Thank God for this sight. It is such an inspiration.

Well, I started my 2 week liquids today, I've had a kidney infection, and I am not too hungry right now, because I am taking an antibiotic and it kills my appetite. My surgery is 9-28, can't wait. Best of luck to you. And I am sure that in a day or 2, I will probably be climbing the walls with hunger, I guess we'll just have to keep telling ourselves, "I can do it", I can do it, I can do it.

Your husband probably does feel insecure. If you are like me, I have clung to him like glue because of my insecurities, but losing weight will cause a lot of the insecurities to go away, and you will feel better about yourself. If you love him, just show him a little more in every way you can. And if you don't love him, then just pray to see what God wants you to do. I am so sorry you are having this problam. Just remember, whatever you decide, that you will want to feel good about yourself on the inside as well as on the outside.

So, I have had a kidney infection, and I am taking Cipro for 7 more days. I got a call from my Surgeon's offfice this morning, and my surgery date is 9-28, so yes, I am going to be a September,10 bander. I have to see my dr. in the a.m. and I guess I will start my 2 weeks liquid thing tomorrow. Oh well, no time for a "last meal". Please keep your wonderful comments and sugestions coming. But more than anything, your prayers. If there is a prayer group on this site, I would love to know about it. I will keep you all posted. :thumbup:

You don't me either, but when I read your blog, I just had to give you my condolences also. So sorry for your lost. But you did have really good weight loss. I should be banded in the next 3 weeks if my ins. co. gives their final ok. I need reassuring that this really works, I have tried so many different things to lose weight and have been let down so many times, i am just scared this want either. It does help to read the comments on this site, it gives me hope.

:smile::smile2:I just wanted to share a special moment at work today. I was sharing with my 3 coworkers that I am scared about tomorrow's endoscopy and my banding, which will be hopefully by 10-1. They all 3 walked into my office and said they wanted to pray with me. It was such a special moment, and although I know that God is in control of everything I do, it never hurts to be reminded ocassionally. I know that HE will see me thru whatever comes my way.

Hopefully my banding will be done by 9-30, dr has promised that it will be done then or no later than the 1st October. But I would love to keep in touch with everyone. There is so much I still don't know about how I am going to react to this after surgery, learning lots from all you folks who do have bands

My banding day will be shortly after, haven't started the liquid diet yet, should come in a week or so. I just hate all this waiting, same with me, I'm nervous, excited, scared. Anxious to hear how you do.

I won't have my surgery for a few weeks yet. I am thinking that what you are pretty normal, because I have the same thoughts, and while excitement is certainly there, there is also doubt. I guess I have a pesaimistic(how do you spell that word?) streak. It will be good to hear from you in a week or so to see how things are going. Please keep us informed.

hope you have a great Labor Day too. I am getting closer every day to my banding. I am getting more excited and I love ready all these blogs. This is helping me know what I am in far.

I have 3 more days before I have the routine endoscopy, waiting for final approval from insurance company. Hopefully, will be banded by the 1st of October.

Lashonda, I am pretty new to this sight. I am having the routine endoscopy that my dr. does before he will do a lap band surgery. My papers have been sent to my insurance co. for final approval. I am planning to have my surgery by the end of September. So excited. I was so impressed with my doctor. He is a Christian. And so am I. This is so improtant to me. Have you had your surgery yet?

You remind me so much of myself, everything I have tried before to lose weight failed. I will have my band by the first of October, wish it was tomorrow. I will be having my endoscopy on Thursday, and if that comes out ok, I'll have my surgery by the first. So excited, love hearing from these posts, its certainly encouraging
