  1. I am nauseated everyday, but I am still only one week post op. I have vomited a few times but not because I have over eaten. It just seems to be because of the nausea. Has anyone else had nausea after surgery? Does it go away soon?
  2. I just wanted to let everyone who has had Gastric Plication surgery know that this site has a forum dedicated to GPS patients. If you go to the verticalsleevetalk home page, scroll down to other weight loss surgeries and then click on Gastric Plication you will see post from plication patients. I hope this helps. I had GPS on October 15, so far I am doing fine except I am nauseated everyday. Anyone else experience this? If so, does it go away and when?
  3. Somewhere I heard that plication patients actually eat less than gastric bypass patients, but I don't know if that is true. After recovery and after you have been on solids for a few weeks what do you eat at an average meal?
  4. I am so sorry you are so sick. I will be praying for you to have a fast and complete recovery. Please update us on your status when you can. I am scheduled to have this procedure done this Friday and this really scares me.
  5. Sorry, I am no help. I haven't had my surgery yet either, but I am looking forward to it. Best of luck to you! After surgery please post and let us know how it went. Who is your surgeon?

    65-70 lbs to lose

:confused1:I plan on having WLS in a couple of months. I am having a really hard time chosing which surgery to have, band or sleeve. I am 5'4" and weigh 195 BMI 33. I will be private pay. I have noticed that several sleeve patients with BMI's similar to mine have passed their weight loss goal and is below their target weight. This scares me a little because the surgery is not reversible. If this happens with the band fluid could be taken out. Also, I want to know what is the hardest thing to deal with NOW. Not the first few weeks post op, but once you are on a regular diet.

Beginning as a low BMI bandster

Do you regret getting your surgery. I am BMI 32, but most all of weight is in my belly. I have been this overweight since my second child was born 4 years ago. Are you happy? Are you always hungry?
