  2. Hi Shoppingbeemom The tube went down my nose and through my throat. When they pulled it I was awake ,what really bothered me was the feeling of the tube inside my throat .They kept it inside for 24 hours for all the unwanted Fluid to get out of my stomach. There was another tube coming out of the left side of my stomach for blood to get out. Best of luck on your surgery Sarah
  3. Hi everyone, hope everything is okey Actually, I thought about sharing my progress almost 2 months post my revision.I really feel great :bananapartyhat: :peace: I walk for about 45 min or 1 hr on treadmill everyday. So far I've lost about 35 pounds . My starting weight was 222 Ibs....now I'm 187 Ibs The sleeve is the best thing happened to me.It's a life changing experience.:success1: I'll keep on posting my progress as soon as possible. Sarah
  4. Hello dear My surgeon said it was a little bit different because there were some adhesions because of the old surgery but the space inside was enough for the tube to pass, otherwise he would have revise it to gastric bypass.....concerning the recovery I stayed for 2 days in the hospital but frankly this time I felt much better I didn't feel any pain after surgery except for the tube coming out of my nose ,it was painful But it didnt hurt more than the plication Thanks TijuanaPlication....For sure I'l keep on posting on my progress
  5. Hello everybody I had my revision surgery 2 days ago I had my plication a year ago and it failed So I thought about a revision surgery,it was a difficult decision as I was the first case in my country . I'm now 2 days post my gastric sleeve ...I'm so happy I'm really so excited and ready for the new journey and the new me
  6. Hi Julie, thanks for posting I had my surgery a year ago but for free coz it was a clinical trial I'm from Egypt....so the procedures is not very well known here I'm now back to the starting point as if I had never done any procedure I wasn't that nervous before plication because it seemed so save with no risks with no cutting or stappling But now my case is a little bit different coz the risk of having a leak or bleeding increases(not so sure but I readit in one of the forums) My surgeon said that it can be done and he found enough space to do the sleeve,he tried to comfort me but doing another procedure is scary now ...but I can't stay fat anymore Thank u again for your reply...wish you all the best
  7. Tijuana plication Thank u very much for you support I hope it goes right this time I'll post any progress as soon as possible
  8. Hello everyone I had gastric plication about a year ago...and it was a complete failure coz I failed to maintain weight loss then put all the weight on ....my doctor advised me to have CT and then he said that my stomach is bigger than it should be at that stage..I failed to continue lossing weight just two months post surgery. It seems that the doctor didnt tight my stomach enough..Now I went to another surgeon to have a revision surgery from plication to sleeve...I'm the first in my country...I had baruim and the doctor said it can be done...Is anyone thinking about a revision from plication to sleeve ....I'm really so scared..need support
  9. I'm 5.5 months out and I've discovered that with plication there is no enough restriction to maintain wight loss For me,I've failed to continue the journey ....Plication is completely different from sleeve ...It's so strange that they r still comparing the weight loss to that of the gastric sleeve I'm so disappointed ....I read more and more about people who r not satisfied with the loss .
  10. Hi everyone I saw my surgeon last week and he added to my confusion. He said that it's normal to eat that amount when you eat out and chat with your friends. He advised me to calculate my calories and exercise.....but ......How come when I feel hungry all the time? .....How can I avoid eating more when I don't have enough restriction...Why did I have that surgery then? He told me that if I'm eating half the amount of what I used to eat before surgery then the stitches are still doing their job....... I really felt that he failed to adjust the size of the bougie or he didn't make the stitches tight enough.... It's a new procedure and I was his second patient to have vertical plication .... I need your feedback
  11. Thank you very much for your post. You really said what I exactly feel about myself and my surgery I have experienced all this but with vertical plication I'll start to address my issues and food addiction This has been very helpful Thank you once again
