I was also banded on the 17th. I almost did not go to our family gathering, but I didn't want to disappoint my kids. It was hard at times the doctor had just allowed mushies, so about 3 tablespoons of mushies put me to over filled. I will admitt there were a few times I was kind of sad that I couldn't eat or pick at stuff while my mom was cooking. Then I had my lovely brother teasing every chance he had with stuff like " want some oh thats right you can't" I know he was not meaning it to be be mean but it was hard. I'm glad it's over!

It's cream of wheat and it's not as good as the regular. But I eat it because it has more portein.

I agree I had a hard time finding where everything was. I have not been able to do anything for days.

Well surgery was Wed. 17th and I had to stay overnight as my heart rate did not want to go down. Everything went well, nursers and doctors were all great and got me back to normal fast. I got home yesturday about noon, took pain meds and slept on and off all day. Kept getting up to walk and finally this morning had gas refielf. Lucky so far no shoulder pain like others have spoke about. I do have a little burning sensation when I get up and down at the largest incision but doc said that would go away, that is my biggest pain complaint.

I have surgery tomorrow 5:00am but woke up this mornig with a sore thoat. Does anyone know if I don't have a fever will they still do surgery? If I go past 12/30/10 I will have to resubmit toinsurance.

Yes Gallstone pain can come and go and when it starts it is usally after you have had something to eat. I would rather have twins then have another gallbladder attach. I had three attachs before they took mine out. I have aslo read a lot of bander have gallbaldder issue, my sergeon even removes them during surgery if the sees and small issues.

I had my viens done two month ago wanted it done before sugery, you will love how you feel once it's done!

I'm on day 8 of protien shakes and clear liquid. I have found if I space the shakes out correct it's not bad. Also I think the warm broth makes you feel full for a little while in between. It's easier when you stay busy. By the time I have surgery in a week I will have one clean house.

I know broth stinks I'm on my 2 week pre-op my doctor today said to buy cup-a-soup or chicken noodle and strain it then at least you have more flavor. Even beef flavor if I wanted. I know it not a huge help but it might give you more flavor.

I started today also and right now this evening is the hardest for me. My husband has agreeded to cook dinner for himself and my son before I get home from work which will be very helpful. I have BSN bananna pudding flavor protien for my evening snack when he has his bowl of ice cream. I just keep telling myself I can make this work.:wub:

Unjury chicken soup is my other favorite. I just ordered mine to get ready for my liquid diet Nov3rd. I ordered from Amazon and saved alot of money.

I found I like injury chicken soup flavor. My question is after you mix it can you make it hotter? I just don't like it luke warm and the temp they tell you touse gets cold so fast and I know once I'm banded with only being able to drink slowly.

I am so glad you said that as I take the same thing and that is on my list of things to ask at my preop appoint Nov 11th.

Am I missing something, sugar free carnation instant breakfast I have read the labels in the store and there doesn’t seem to be enough protein to say so in them. It is on the list of drinks I can use, but I just don’t see why.

My date changed again I was the 10th, then the 17th, then 11th well now today I'm back to the 17th. I would have been cool to have someone so close on the same day. I'm having my suregery and Orlando Regional Medial Center (ORMC).

Topazz you will like it--- my son went out to Target and bought me one about a month ago when I told him I was going to need something before surgery. It was so nice of him, of coarse he uses it to make milk shakes. I have made a few unjury shake , I let it set for a few minutes after so not so fluffy.

We have the same date! Do you have to do a two week liquid diet? I'm have a doctor here in Orlando.
