Just Banded

Hi everyone,

I was just banded on October 1, 2010 and so far I'm down 21 lbs. The issue that I am having is that I'm trying to find recipes for the solid foods. If you have any recipes please send them my way. :)

Welcome!

You've done such a great job so far!

I didn't really use special recipes, but I did follow the South Beach Diet book for quite a while. I still do to some extent. It's very band-friendly. Just be careful to avoid anything too dry, like dry white meat chicken.

Good luck on your journey,

South Beach recipes are wonderful, as are any of the low carb recipes from Dana Carpender. Hungry Girl has some great recipes for things in her recipe books too, and if you sign up for her newsletter, you will get free recipes in there from time to time.

Congrats on how well you are doing, that's great!

Thanks so much for the ideas. I've never tried South Beach but I was looking at some recipes and they sound great.
