  1. Thanks all. I am going to start over tomorrow and go back to protein, eat slow and chew well. If this doesn't do the trick I may need to have some fill removed. Just seems like 5.5 isn't very much for as often as I am getting stuck.
  2. I must admit I have not been following banding rules regs very well for the last month. I went on a cruise and know I did not eat like I should. I didn't particularly overeat, just not always the right portions of Protein etc. I have been home for 2 weeks and am finding it hard to get back to pre-vacation eating habits. Any advice or a good kick in the pants will do. I do think I am too tight but would like some advice. I am finding it difficult to eat many solids without sliming and getting stuck. I am at 5.5 in a 10cc band. I am sliming at least once a day and at times vomit. I can eat chili, Soups, smoothies etc without trouble. meat and bread is a huge culprit along with fries and potatoes except mashed. Perhaps this is normal or I am too tight. I don't know. I do chew well but sometimes I end up swallowing prematurely. Can you help me please?
  3. On Christmas Eve I plan on having "a taste" of yummy appetizers if I can rate it a 10. I may have just one bite and let my husband finish it. Christmas Day I again will enjoy a bit of everything I love, stopping at 1 bite unless its packed with protein. Bring on the Swedish meatballs.
  4. Me too! Did quite well even with being snowed in until Sunday night when I got together with my chums for a limo lights tour. Would like to say I regret the pizza and wine, but honestly I don't since I had a crazy fun time and danced off some of the calories Will get back on track today. Blessings to you all!
  5. I had a 3rd fill Monday of 1ml which puts me at 4.5ml in a 10ml band. I was on a full liquid diet for 24 hours and then advanced to a regular diet. My problem is I get stuck with most everything excluding liquids and yogurt I chew chew chew and take small bites and get stuck anyway. Yesterday I got stuck on tender roast beef and slimed so bad I had to leave work. It take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour to go down. Today I have had a protein shake, a glass of milk, tomato soup and a yogurt. I'm afraid to eat solids. Please help me understand this. I am only 13 weeks out and need advice. Thanks all. You have been such a great support to me. By the way, what does PB stand for?
  6. I had a 1ml fill yesterday for a total of 4.5mls/10ml band since surgery 10/2. This evening I got stuck on cottage cheese, turkey luncheon meat, 1 bite of sausage and a few noodles. I got stuck, slimed and hacked up the offenders. I still feel stuck, perhaps swelling? Any insight and advice would be helpful. I need to go to bed and am quite sure I can't lay down. What to do? Thanks
  7. I was banded 10/2 and have lost over 30lbs since:D While I feel really good about my progress, I was horrified when I saw a video a friend took of a group of co-workers singing a song. I am in this for the long haul and realize I did not get this fat overnight, but wow am I disappointed. I'm feeling really discouraged and need a pep talk. Thank you friends.
  8. :rolleyes:Does anyone experience, well let me just say, an increase of flatus since banding? I am 2 months out and have an over abundance of natural gas. As a busy working professional, I am forced to hold it resulting in big time bloating. It's not foul, just tons of air. Anyone else. Any suggestions?
  9. Any suggestions for a vitamin/mineral supplement that is easy on the stomach? I cut my Womans One a Day in 1/2, taking 1 in am and 1 in pm and expereince nausea every time. Thanks for your time.
  10. I'm in the same boat. I have had one fill since banding on 10/2 and have been at a standstill for several weeks. I am exercising and eating less than 1000cals a day. I will have fill #2 next week. Hope it helps with the hunger. Chocolate cake with a bacon garnish sounds good right about now.
  11. I was banded 10/2 and have had a weightloss of 21 lbs. I did have a fill 2 weeks ago which has not resulted in restriction. My weight is at a standstill even though I am exercising 30 to 60 minutes 5 days a week, eating protein and cutting calories to 1000 a day. It's been about 3 weeks now and I am hanging at 209.5. What gives? I'm kinda sad...
  12. Bless you all. I feel motivated already! Thanks Gracie
  13. I have been doing so well since my 10 day pre-op and subsequent surgery on 10/2. I have had 1- 3cc fill with little to no impact 1 week ago. I just lost it over the weekend eating pizza, bread, candy and Diet Coke. This evening I find myself grazing with grapes cheese etc. I know I have been getting enough protein and trying to drink enough fluids. Help me get back on track. I feel incredibly guilty and discouraged. Thanks friends.
  14. Jillian I wonder if their was some inflamed nerves involved in the incisional area, particularly since you have had more than the usual pain since post op. The port is attached to abdominal muscle. It's possible there are fussy stitches internally. I would definitely call and ask for a radiography testing if they cannot give you an answer.
  15. Off the subject a bit. Just to let BetsyB know how much I appreciate your sound advice, support and inspiration. You are amazing!:wink2:
