US Government has No Honor
See I don't look at it that way. Paid for services rendered. If they do not think they risk death or retaliation by working for the Allied as translators they have their heads buried in the ample sand over there. I would counter with, "Why not ask Great Britain for asylum? or Canada?" There are other countries to ask for asylum but the states always make the press as the bad guys (see horse on the ground no longer moving). Do we see a soldier asking to go home because it got to tough? They felt threatened? Like they were in threat of losing their life? No, you pretty much know what you are signing up for and if you don't Boot Camp clears it up. I have not heard of The Main or Tonkin probably because they were so remote and didn't involve the world on such a large scale. You can fool some of the people some of the time but not all of the people all of the time. Again, I nod to the Allied countries and their intelligence. See those photos of buried in the sand fighter aircraft? No weapons at all? Why the cat and mouse with SH? If you have the UN heat blowing down your neck and in your back door asking, on behalf of the world, to inspect what you have blown off your mouth touting to the world as possessing, and you continue to blow off at the mouth and disregard respectful requests to diplomatically allow for a neutral inspection, and you hand signed a treaty agreeing to such ten years prior and you still don't comply, we can expect to lose the house, the truck, or whatever else is at stake. There may not have been WMD but SH brought this heat on his people by his own arrogance and belief he was not accountable to anyone. Not even to his own people that he killed.

Help me help myself
There are so many messages and stories on this website just go down to the FORUM JUMP option at the bottom of the page and pick a topic to read. The one thing you will find is you have so much in common with these people. We all have tried endlessly to lose weight by traditional means. Most of us are morbidly obese if not severely morbidly obese. That tells you traditional methods have not been successful. I personally picked the band because it is less invasive surgically and my chief complaint to my doctor on dieting has always been " I never feel full " This is the perfect solution for me.

What's the worst thing someone said to you?
So many stories. I hesitate to say anything because others have been far more hurtful. Crying in the shower...I so understand that one Kity. Little did they know I was there for the sugar free/fat free soft serve they carried. Jerks!-Faithmd, unfortunately they were also so closed minded that they never stuck around to find this out. "Hit and run" I call that. Famouslastwords- I was one week post delivery of my first child. My grandfather said to me as I was nursing "you sure have put on the weight". My mother, who is overweight guided me to the Plus sizes and said "we'll look for clothes in OUR size".

US Government has No Honor
No matter how you slice it, what they lived in prior to the war was no where better than present day paid-for-services- risking- death Iraq. Atleast they would know WHY they were killed if in fact that is the case. The old regime offered no explainations. My nephew stayed in Abu Ghraib (prison) which was converted to living quarters for soldiers. The stories dont seem believable because no one wants to think a person was hung by a butcher's meat hook and tortured. The obsurdity of a "fake war" is something I cannot fathom but there are people who believe in UFO's and others still who believe readily in Big Foot (not the truck) so to each his own. It is illogical to think one would make up a story to create a war, it is furthermore foolish to believe other countries would believe a false story without checking it out for themselves. Thank you for the kind words about my boy. I do love him so and he has grown on my heart tremendously. I should have known my daughter would pick someone so capable of loving her so deeply. He's so brave too. If you are so inclined send high thoughts his way for safe keeping.

US Government has No Honor
I know the translators are paid well by Iraq standards. It's not the idea situation over there but then again they are in a new democracy and here we are trying to compare our 200 plus years of democracy to their foot start. My precious soldier boy is my daughter's boyfriend. He just left this morning (no lie) for EOD training in Alabama. I still don't know all the acronyms for the Army but EOD is an explosive that is improvised and planted somewhere. He will be trained to detonate the bombs that are commonly called "roadside bombs" in Iraq. From his mouth to my ears, The Iraqi people are glad we came over there, glad Sadam Hussein is gone, but ready for us to leave. By the same token they know they still need support from Allied forces. What I didn't know was that many Iraqis are employed and learning trade skills within the coalition. Healthcare is better, there are many things that seem like minor details to some but would typically be a positive thing when you lived under opression, the kind SH delivered.

Can you appeal if there is an exclusion?
An exclusion means WE DO NOT COVER IT. I would give the denial letter to the doctor's office and have them draft an appeals letter. TRY.

Mexico
I would want to go with the Doc. I signed up with. * I don't like surprises like signing a form you might not get the doctor whose name we promote* Dr. Ortiz is one I almost went with. Jump threads to DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS below from the drop box. You'll see much discussion there.

Thanks for letting us know you are banded and doing good. Sorry to hear about TOOTY TOWN. But think of it as a temporary inconvenience for a long term benefit.

What's the worst thing someone said to you?
.............................................................................................. DerickM: I did not punch out anyone but I did move away. I went through a nasty and unexpected divorce from my high school sweetheart. (he did me a favor but at the time I didn't know this) I moved 1000 miles away from home with a friend. New Year's Eve I was married and living on a midwestern farm, by December I was in paradise. New starts are amazing. I highly recommend them. Nobody knows your name or who your family is or what you looked like in 3rd grade. I grew up rather quickly and to be honest, I found that there are some awesome people on this planet. The first gay person (that I knew was gay) I made friends with filled me to the brim with self confidence. After two years I knew I would never go back. Find a place you DREAM of living in and then move there. That is what I did.

I think My Surgeon Just Fired Me...
I think you were intelligent enough not to sign what you knew to be a waiver. I'm with you. What IS he afraid of? BTW: You can avoid that office by going to a new surgeon, signing a release of records for them and your ex-surgeon has no recourse but to send them on.

Holy cow.
Those pics are great. Ironically enough, my cat just brought in a dead bird. I found it following the trail of feathers in the hallway.

Homosexual Liberal Atheists ~ What's UP with that?
Interesting. I'm of the inclination if I don't think I will like what I read I don't read it. That would be the case with the Falwell, Swaggert and Robertson crowd. Dobson has some good parenting books, I think because he isn't solely Theological in his studies. I was most impressed by his interview with Ted Bundy. That is an excellent viewing/reading. My daughter studied Mormonism and did convert for a time. She left that faith however when they talked about the aliens and the young boy having visions in the woods. I couldn't get past the term "Elder" in their church as a boy of 15 years old. One thing that disturbs me about any persuasion, it's broad spectrum when it comes right down to the "ism", no tolerance of an individual's beliefs is equally as offensive as well, no tolerance of an individual's beliefs. No matter which side you are on, I've seen discrimination and broad swipes at intolerance from both camps of liberal and conservative. Seems each side feels justified in their condemnation of the other. (same coin, different side)

Homosexual Liberal Atheists ~ What's UP with that?
Would that be the 11th DIGIT? My guess on the Commandments is God didn't get into specifics because it would have resembled a grocery list instead of tenants for moral behavior. (just a guess is all) Why did you read Purpose Driven Life?

Another E-Mail Debunked
I love Snopes.com I check out urban legends there often. Those dollars are indeed missing the logo but it was a mint error. They are going on eBay for upwards of $200. The re-issue has the correction.

So mad that I can't see straight...
One last thought. That knee jerk remark the boss make about it being a white church made me think about folks who are hypervigilant. Did you ever see the move "Uncle Buck"? In one scene, the main character (Buck (Russell) goes to the school to meet with his niece Maisy's principal. This principal has a large mole on her face. Uncle Buck is in the office and of course he doesn't want to mention her very obvious mole but introduces himself as "Buck Melanoma, Moley Russell's wart" and further stumbles along with: "I'm the wart. She's my tumor, my growth, my pimple. I'm ''Uncle Wart.'' Just old Buck ''Wart'' Russell". Racism. The white elephant in the living room.

So mad that I can't see straight...
I get where the boss is coming from. He wrongly assumed your family was racist but on the other hand he is in Alabama and his family is black. My father's family isn't a broad representation of what prejudices are still kicking in Alabama but I have many relatives there with friends and with each visit it stuns me to hear what comes out of people's mouths so I get where the boss is coming from. You and your husband never got an answer to your question which was What KIND of church is it? I would ask again like this: I'm glad (your son's name) has found a good friend in (bosses son's name). They seem to get along well. You know the other day I asked what kind of church you went to, I mean what KIND of church as in what denomination? (drop the racial thing don't bring it up unless they do and if they do say: Well RACE never crossed my mind).
