  1. I don't have any restriction either!! It's gone!!! I can eat anything and don't have to chew like I did. I am eating South Beach, but it seems like a lot of food I am eating, so we will see on Friday when I weigh in!!! I am kinda scared! I am 5'5 so you are taller than me! I always wished I could be taller so I could get away with weighing more. I think they say 10 pounds an inch more or less depending on your heigth. I could never be a 3/4 unless my butt totally deflated. I always have to wear a bigger size, since I have major junk in the truck!!!! I think my goal is like a 5!
  2. I am a tight wad too and don't want to buy some more jeans. I only had 1 pair anyway and they don't look good. They are 14's. I have some other jeans that don't fit yet. I probably need a 12, but don't want to spend the money. I am so tight I am thinking about going to a nice thrift shop! I don't want to spend and then where it for a few weeks and get rid of them!
  3. I don't have any restriction either!!!!:faint: It's gone....... :) :paranoid :think :cry :tired I am eating very well, sometimes too well doing South Beach, but following South Beach guidelines none the less. So, I guess the true test comes Friday when I weigh in!! I am going to work out today too!!! Make sure you check on me, because I can't lie to you guys about it!!
  4. WOW!!! That is sooooo awesome!!!!!! I go for my first fill Feb. 17 and I am glad because I do not have any restriction anymore!!! Dr. Ortiz told me to get ready to burn all of my clothes, but I think I'll donate them! I am in that awkward stage, where my main weekly clothes don't fit. The only clothes I had a little smaller were work out clothes. My jeans are too big and the ones I was saving for "one day" are a little too small. I have no pants or jeans!!! My regular jeans are so big they make me look fat!!! I have a question for you. When do you know when to stop losing weight? I was thinking, I know I 'say' my goal is 135, but that is just a number. What if I look really good at 145? Then a part of me wants to get really small just because my whole life I have been overweight. All my teen years and adult hood has been overweight. Can we ever get too thin?
  5. Hi!! My name is Audree and I was banded on Jan.5, 2007, so 1 month ago!!! I can't believe it went by so fast! I have also prayed for so many years for God to help me lose weight and keep it off. Not just for me, but for my family. Having a weight problem my whole life, dieting since I was 12 and now I am 33, had taken a toll. I want to be a happy and fun loving mother and wife, ready to take off to the park at a moments notice and run around in the grass. I was so tired of being sick and tired. I didn't know how God was going to answer my prayer, but I would pray for healing from being addicted to food. I would diet, lose, binge, gain, diet, lose a few, binge, gain it all back over and over. I became obessesed with food and dieting where it was just taking too much space in my head. I wanted to be set free from this bondage. Then one day a friend who was banded, suggested the band. I had never heard about it. I just knew if it was God's will, He'd provide the finances, since I was a self payer. He provided for everything, down to every last detail!!!! Everything has gone so smooth, very minimal pain and discomfort! I am a lower bmi bandster, started my journey at 190,, but I was on my Un-diet, so I was gaining fast and headed back into 200 land. I am glad I caught myself at 190!!! God had been so good to me!! I have felt so much peace and joy!!! I am happy and for the first time in my whole life, I am not thinking about what diet am I going to do this week or what I should eat or not eat, all the while feeling deprived and moody! My poor husband has gone through every diet and the pain and disappointment with me! He deserves a medal! A hungry and dieting hormonal woman is not a fun and happy woman!!! This is what my husband says I looked like pre band:frusty: and that is how I felt!!! I have lost 20.5 pounds so far, putting me at 169.5 My goal in 8 weeks is 15-20 more pounds, putting me at 150-155 My ultimate goal is 135ish by my 12th wedding anniversary July 1st. I will also keep you in my daily devotion/prayer time!!! PUSH - PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS!!!! With all of us praying for each other, we are going to see some miraculous weight loss!!!!! Thanks for letting me be a part of your journey!!! Very refreshing thread! God Bless!!! Audree
  6. I was told I'd have diahrea if I had juice or gatorade, which i did so I stopped drinking them!!
  7. Glad to hear you are doing well!!!
  8. I take a really good liquid vitamin that has everything in it called Glacial Milk. I bought it at Sams Club but you can find it on the internet too!
  9. Welcome Joanne! This site has helped me so much! I love it! I loved having Anderson's creamy split pea, V8, drinkable yogurt, sugar free jello, sugar free fudgesicles when I was where you are post op. I used a lot of Gas x strips for the gas too. Seemed to help! :clap2:
  10. I was told i could walk for 3 weeks and then start to exercise more. No cruches for 3 months and just being careful with twisting.
  11. I know my clothes feel better and my daughters teacher said my shirt looked really nice on me, I wear it ofter, but she was looking at me like she was trying to see what was different about me. I did have a NSV today! I wore my size 12 slacks and they felt very comfortable, not snug at all. I am feeling more hungry and can tell my restriction is pretty much gone. If it wasn't for South Beach, I think I'd be in trouble!!!:faint: I feel like I am eating a little too well, but it is all on plan, so I will know for sure when I weigh in.
  12. Hey! Today I had a 3 egg cheese omlette with sauteed mushrooms for breakfast, and lunch was some chicken and 2 pieces of brocollie from a chinese restaurant we went to eat at. Liquids: 40 ounces so far! I am going to rest from exercise today. I am more hungry today! I forgot to take my QuickSlim30 and I can tell! But it is almost 4pm and if I take it now, I may not sleep well. I did take my 1 tbsp. of Glacial Milk liquid Vitamin and I started taking 1 Biotin in the morning. I have been "Water loading" like Sandy from smarterbandsters advises, which means drinking as much as you can before a meal. Dr. Ortiz advises no drinking for 1 hour, but I think if I haven't had my water intake, I will do this. I do follow the No water for 1 hour after though. Thank God I am doing South Beach because I feel like I can eat and my appetite feels normal. I don't push myself though. How is everyone else??? What types of goals do we have for this week??? Let's keep each other going!!!
  13. Where are all my Beach partners at?
  14. Sounds like you are starting off on the right foot!!:clap2: :clap2: I know that going straight on South Beach made a big difference for me. I hear people gain when they start solids and I lost 3.5 pounds!!! It has helped me with my appetite, carb and sugar cravings. Coming off from a liquid fast, I do not feel deprived at all doing South Beach. It feels awesome!!! I have a South Beach thread going if you like to check in! I am also wondering if there is anything new, new foods, ideas that you can share?? Thanks, Audree
  15. It feels really good when people notice. I would think people would really notice 20 pounds but I haven't had many remarks. Maybe at 30 pounds loss??
  16. I'd like to take Salsa lessons and be really good at it!!!
  17. I'm sorry! I also had my surgery Jan. 5 so like 2 weeks or so ahead. You will be feeling better before you know it! My sweet restriction is gone and I am finding myself hungry and able to eat more. I am glad I started South Beach with day 1 of solids. Or else I'd probably be binging! Maybe you can try massaging your abdominals. I started massaging my abdominal area, around the incisions early on. It hurt at first, but helped. I also have been taking an appetite suppresant that helps a lot. It also helps with metabolism, so I think that has been taking the edge off. I hope you feel better soon!!
  18. I have been doing really good!! I LOST 3.5 POUNDS ON FRIDAYS WEIGH IN!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been eating really good on South Beach. My ability to eat more has gone up a little. I can tell I don't have much restriction because I don't have to chew as carefully and I can eat more. But, being on South Beach helps a lot. For example yesterday I had for breakfast 2 scrambled eggs, 2 sausages, and two bacons, with another sausage cut in half. For lunch I had almonds and 2 laughing cows and for dinner I had a carne asada burrito without tortilla and beans. Today I had cottage cheese, colds cuts and cheese, almonds, 8 small chicken meatballs and beans. I think I may weigh myself to keep myself in check before Friday. I don't want to get too out of hand. But, I am eating foods on the phase 1 plan but just want to make sure. I need to watch my almond intake also, That has gotten me in the past. I also think I am premenstrual and I always get hungrier during that time. I get my fill in 2 1/2 weeks and I am glad. I don't feel any restriction anymore and I am glad I am doing South Beach because I'd hate to gain weight at all!
