  1. Thanks so much guys! Well let me explain "losing slow" each week i do not lose i may go 2-3 weeks before seeing a lose. But 30lbs is adveraged to about 10lbs a month. so yes that is good! I love how you guys help us to see things differently! Hey, I am doing good:laugh: About my fills, my portions sizes are pretty good, however i am not full for 3-4 hrs. I may only be full for about 1-2 maybe:crying:
  2. :rolleyes2: Today is my 3 months Bandiversary. I was banded 3 months ago on Sugust 11, 2010. I feel great and i have lost approximately 30 lbs since my surgery and 52 lbs including my prop diet. I have a fill appointment on the 15th, not sure if i need it, but i am losing slow but it is working for me! Happy Bandiversary to all the fellow bandsters who are celebrating 3 mos this week and next week! I hope everyone is having sucess with their bands! If not please, please hand in there, you can do it!!!!
  3. Yay!!!! good for your Wrenbird!!!!! how have you been feeling overall? Keep up the good work!!
  4. Exactly, I am glad you said that (in a nutshell) we all have to find what works for our own bodies and situations! If it was that simple many of us would have not needed the lapband tool!
  5. Hey fellow challengers, Happy Monday! :thumbup:I am proud of myself. I made a concious effort to excercise this weekend, and i did both days and even got up this morning at 5:30am before work and jumped on the elliptical for a quick run! I also brought my excercise ball to work i will sit on that today! I hope everyone else had a great weekend!
  6. Ok guys i will join also. This will be my first challenge since being banded!
  7. You look really good, keep up the great work!
  8. You go ladybug!!!! Congrats! Looking good momma!!!!! Keep up the good work.
  9. :sneaky: Congrats!!!!! Onederland welcome you!!! So what are you gonna do to celebrate this great acheivement?
  10. I felt the same way for about 2 weeks, maybe a little over but i went back to work after 10 days. Once the pain meds were out of my system the tiredness started to wear off. I was totally recovered by about 4 - 6 weeks! Hang in there!
  11. Okay so all of a sudden out of nowhere on Monday of this week my band has informed me that she is there!!!!!! I feel full longer from smaller portions, I know when to stop eatting, Things feel weird going down now, Hummm is this restriction, is this how it is supposed to be? Let's go with the fact that my 2nd fill was Oct 11th. My 3rd is scheduled for Nov 15th. Is this normal?
  12. Hang in there! You should be back on tracK now!
  13. I weigh myself just about everyday! Some may feel that it is a bit much but it works for me. I have been losing consistantly since i have been banded. Do what works for you. ~Dena~
  14. Congrats on the loss! Feels great dosent it!!! Keep up the good work  ~Dena~
  15. Very positively stated!!!! I look at where i was prior to surgey, an look at where i am today and i am happy! Do i excercise like i should no! but i do a little, but i focus on how i feel overall, and make healthy food choices everyday! I use sparkpeople to track my food/nutrition intake, and i love it. It is more then just a food journal it is a program (free) that encourages a healthy way of living! Even my Dr said that the adverage Lapband patient of his loses about 10lbs a month, however me on the otherhand i am losing around 7 or 8lbs a month. My Dr. is still happy with my weightloss thus far and encourages me to keep up whatever i am doing because it's working for me! Please guys try to stop beating yourselves up and be happy with the fact that with every .5 or 1lbs that you lose you are that much healthier. ~Dena~
  16. Very noticable change, looking good momma!!! Keep up the great work! :smile2:
  17. Yeah for me the side that was hurting the worst was where my port was, and it is my longest incision. mine is right under my rib cage on the right side.
  18. I agree with you using sparkpeople.com! I first found it as a blackberry app, when i went to the website i fell in love! I have been using it only since tuesday and i am noticing a difference! Please check it out! Every now and then i go back to liquids when i feel like weight loss has halted! ~Dena~
  19. lol, just needed to take that moment to vent a little!!!!!!
  20. I totally understand that!!! When i was in the hospital getting banded all the nurses that cared for me would say the same thing "you don't need this band , you are so little" Then i would tall them that i started my journey weighing 231lbs, and they did the same thing (dropped their jaws) people also don't realize the associated heath problems we faced either! i had everything from the high blood pressure to the sleep apnea, and i am only 30yrs old. I did this for my future health so i can be around to see my kids grow up! Now 42lbs lighter i have no more health problems (so far). We made the right decision and we know why we made that decision, and i know i am so tired of having to explain that to everyone! where was all the concern when i was concered morbily obese? Really pisses me off! Keep up the good work spoitmom!!!!!!
  21. YAY!!!! I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU:thumbup:!!!!! So how are you gonna Celebrate? ~Dena~
