  1. nothing beats eating at a kitchen table surrounded by family having dinner together. It makes you pay attention to what your eating instead of watching tv you lose focus. My kids want to eat in their rooms but I forbid it bedrooms are for sleeping and having sex in LOL...
  2. Your menu looks great! better then mine.. That fact that you havent had a bowl movement in 5 days could be a factor in your weight...
  3. Sorry to see you go... Not all of us are harsh and genuinely care about the concerns and issues of others.
  4. I too am lactose intolerant and it became worse after surgery I wonder why that is...I cant even drink Lactaid milk any more I need to take the Lactaid tablets before drinking even Lactaid milk...
  5. Everything you described is perfectly normal... Get your fill but dont be surprised if you dont feel anything right off it can take numerous fills to reach proper restriction. Until then monitor what your eating, drink your Water and exercise... Good Luck
  6. I too usually eat with in 1 hour of waking up...I dont count the calories but have 1 cup of oat meal and a cup of coffee...I like to cook my oatmeal over night in a crockpot that way it's ready for me when I get up.

  13. I have the small 4cc band so it took me 2 fills and 1 unfill to get restriction wouldnt call it my sweet spot because I can eat about 2-3 hours and still get stuck every other day so maybe I need an unfill or just go on liquids for a few days to let my stomach settle down.
  14. No I didnt wear underwear.. Every hospital is different at mine they took me to my room had me undress and put on a gown they took my vitals hooked up my IV . The anesthesiologist came in and talked to then the Lap band Doctor. I was wheeled into the OR got my feel good meds then woke up a brand new person. I didnt feel any discomfort due to the medication I was given but had a little bit of a hard time getting out of bed and walking they made me walk soon after I woke up to get the gas moving and to prevent blood clots.. Thats pretty much it the shoulder pain was the worst not excriciating but yes painful. I wasnt blessed with restriciton right after surgery so Yes I Was Hungry.
  15. I feel that because I can eat a lot I must need a fill...but I then remember how I get stuck or slime and have trouble with some foods almost ever day and I figure then I dont need a fill after all. So I figure if I get stuck and slime every day then I need to not get a fill but to rest my band. And yes the nuts even though they are a good choice as far as Snacks go they make you retain Water.
  16. I was trying to do the 5 day pouch test this week but life got in the way so I didnt do it... Glad to see that it is working for you..Hopefully when I really commit to it I will see results like you Good Job on breaking the plateau...
  17. I just got my Power Juicer today and have made juice for my family and myself...It tasted so wonderful but I am concerned about the sugar content in the juice. Now it's all natural and so far I have made carrot/apple juice and have drunk about 8oz. Should I be worried that it is too much sugar? I dont drink any other sweetened drinks I dont even put sugar in my coffee but splenda. Thanks for the imput.
  18. I always get my fills with Fluro that's just the way my doc does it...now is it necessary I dont know but I'm glad he does it that way i can see exactly what he is doing and how my band is doing...

  23. Yes it includes Fast Food Chains...walked into Mcdonalds got a salad an it told me how many cals were in the grilled vs the crispy chicken salad... I just got a power juicer I wonder how much sugar is in some of the juice I just made...
  24. I have the same problem you do...I was overfilled back in Dec and had some fill taken out but these past 2 weeks I notice that I tend to get stuck and slime and vomit every evening... I can not eat chicken, beef, bread, rice with out getting ill. I have adopted the use of baby utenils to help me take small amounts and to chew well. I dont think I am over filled in fact I feel I need a fill because I can eat a lot with the execption of getting stuck and vomiting every so often...
