How do I find the right balance?
If your feeling hunger 1-2 hours after eating then it sounds as if you may need a fill. Remember if your eating right but still are hungry then your not at proper restriction. As far as eating I was told to eat 3 meals a day with 3-4 oz of Protein 1/2 cup veggie and if I'm still hungry then 1/4 cup starch. And If I were to get hungry between meals then I could have a snack of nuts, fruit, yogurt, pudding or a Protein shake. Hope this helps...

Please tell me if this is normal!
I FELT a pop as well on my first and second fill...I didnt feel it during my slight unfill so I think it's normal the first 2-3 times...

I'm starving!
Drink, Drink, Drink that broth! make sure your getting Protein if you can do shakes already make sure you drink them, make a good chicken or beef broth and drink it all day... It is normal to feel hungry after surgery because you are not eating like you were before all your getting is broth and that doesnt satisfy you for long... You will be satisfied again dont worry as far as full that is subjective, Because I never get "full" anymore just satisfied and ok feeling. I make my chicken broth as follows: Chicken 2 bays leaves onion garlic Boil all the above with some salt (little bit) until meat is falling off bone...Enjoy

older post "typical diet after lapband"
Elfipoo put it best by saying this in another topic: If you can do it...more power to you, I guess...but if you can't, then the next best thing is to eat a reasonable, balanced meal...3-4 oz of Protein, 1/2 cup vegies and 1/4 cup starches (if you're still hungry). If you find you're still hungry between meals because you aren't at your sweet spot, then eat a hard boiled egg, or an ounce of cheese, or some other type of protein. Even a low carb low cal Protein shake is better than dropping into bad food habits.

older post "typical diet after lapband"
So I was reading an older post called "typical diet after lap band" where the poster asked what a typical diet would be like.... I read on some of these responses that a banster should be eating 3-4oz of food per meal!!! Is that for real? I have been banded since Aug 2010 and didnt know that!! Can someone please let me know if this is real, If so then no wonder why I'm not losing weight! I've been eating toooooooooo much!! Thanks, Zen

technical question
now that you mention it I havent gotten notified either....sorry dont have an answer to your question tho...

Vomitting
Vomiting is not something that should be happening, and if you eat right chew correctly and take it slow you may never vomit. Dont let the idea of vomiting hinder you from your decision about getting the band. I only vomited when I was too tight or ate too fast or took to big of a bite, all of which can be avoided. Good luck on your decision...

Head Hunger or Real Hunger
Wow why are you on liquids so long??? I know every Doc is different but mine only had me on liquids the day of my fill and then mushies the next and regular food the following day, but that is my Doc. I know it's real hunger when my tummy "GROWLS" and "RUMBLES" and know it's head hunger when I have already eaten and just want more....

nothing new.....
I havent posted in a while i have been lurking in the background basically because there is nothing new to post. I havent gained and I havent lost either which is frustrating in itself. I probably need a fill after 1 month after my unfill but am afraid to get more put in my band and be back where I was in Nov-Dec getting stuck and throwing up every time I tried to eat. I have started working out on my "Gazelle" trainer trying to reach 30min a day but that is slow going as well. Well that's all I really have to report like I said nothing new...Just wish I could start losing lbs again!!!

Skipping breakfast?
I don't like breakfast either but I make sure that I at least have a protein shake if not food. there was a time when i couldnt eat breakfast as I was too tight in the mornings but after a slight unfill I can eat now. I would advise you to try and eat or drink something in the morning to help jump start your metabolism...
