  1. I was thinking the same thing...maybe she posted on the wrong thread?
  2. Just got my first fill yesterday and I felt it the moment he put the Fluid in I got a lump in my throat and could actually feel the barium I drank trickle through my band... and I feel much more restriction when I eat then I did before I got my fill. I have 3cc in a 4cc band so I'm almost full.
  3. I just had my first fill and I think it's the pain I get in my shoulder or a small burp...I'm still learning what it is but I think thats it....
  4. So I just had my first fill yesterday and am doing really good but I have noticed that my left shoulder hurts again...is that normal after a fill???
  5. I like that!!! I need to use that as my motto as well..Thanks
  6. I just got my first fill and I feel that way as well. my stomach is full but my stomach still growls.
  7. Yeah they only offer the 4cc in Mexico...so far so good no problems here.
  8. I'm so glad they did my fill under fluroscopy...The doctor had no problem at all finding my port and was able to see the liquid pass through to gauge how much fluid to fill me with...
  9. Just got back from my first fill and I feel GREAT! I actually feel the restriction again like when I was first banded. I pureed myself some Soup and couldn't eat it all. Oh the Wonder of a good fill! I had 1.5 put in at surgery and 1.5 now to bring me to a total of 3cc in a 4cc band. I hope it stays like this for a while...
  10. Still havent lost any weight this weeks...I actually gained 1lb last week and lost it this week so I guess that is a loss right. Well I get my first fill today lets hope it helps jump start my weight loss.
  11. I know right...I was reading where some Sept. Bandsters were already getting fills! I had to wait 6-8 weeks before my doc would even consider a fill, then I have to wait another 6-8 weeks in between fills! I sure wish all doctors would get together and make solid guidelines for this kind of stuff. sure is furstrating!
  12. Hey you where have you been...hope your well I have been wondering about my fellow Aug. bandsters....
  13. I was drinking this "Bonafont" Jamaica flavored water until I found out it was sweetened with sugar and contained 50 cal for 8 oz and 12 carbs...it was delish but I don't drink it anymore guess it's back to good old Crystal lite..That could be why I haven't been losing weight but just maintaining huh?
  14. This makes the most sense to me. I think I'm gonna follow this menu my doc said no food before the fill and Clear Liquids for 24 hours after...no other instructions were given about when to start regular food again but this schedule sounds good to me.
  15. Around 11am is my fill time...Hope I dont feel too hungry... I was reading some papers that my doctor sent me and it says to not EAT 7 hours before a fill and only Clear liquids for 24hours after fills. I read on here that some people have to do clear liquids then full liquids then mushies then reg food. Is that normal for all after a band or just what the Doctor ordered. Mine said clear fluids for 24 hours so does that mean I can go back to normal food after 24hours??
  16. I will be having my 1st fill tomorrow (yippie) and was told not to eat. I was wondering if I could at least have a protein shake or something like that does anyone know what the guideline is for fills???
  17. Thanks very interesting.... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
  18. someone told me its the band pressing on the diaphram thus pushing on a nerve that runs to the shoulder.... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
  19. If you chew well and take small bites you may never have a PB episode. so just keep that in mind when you eat. I have been banded for 9 weeks now and have not PB...now that may all change after I have my fill but I just need to keep in mind that if I eat slow and chew well then I shouldn't have a problem. 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
  20. I agree with the post about 3 meal a day and shakes in between. exercise is good, remember (at least for me) we didnt get the band so we could "diet" but have a new lifestyle. I never did well with "diets" thats why I decided for the band was for me. I hope you do well with what ever you decide to do Good Luck... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
  21. My weight loss stopped for about 6 weeks and I just now lost 1 lb last week (probably put it back on with all the nuts I have been eating). Talk to your doctor to see if you can get a fill so early I had to wait 6-8 weeks and will be getting my first fill this coming Thursday. Don't worry about the 5 pizza slices we all eat things that we shouldn't just remember we fall down we get up..Good Luck let us know if your able to get a fill this soon out... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
  22. Mashed potatoes, steamed carrots and meatballs I got from Costco...oh an some b.b.q sauce to go with the meatballs. 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
  23. well in that case is your band too tight? I dont know if that would, could or can affect burping but it's a thought... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
  24. I find that when I dont take my meds regularly (like this past week) I start to feel sad, mad, tired and irritable make sure (which I'm sure you are) your taking them regularly and see your doctor as soon as can be arranged...Good Luck 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01
