All I gotta say is YUCK! That happen to me as well the pain went away after about 3 days just keep your mouth as clean as possible bush well and rinse with a good quality mouth wash, or salt water... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01

Has anyone got lactose intolerant AFTER the band? I was able to eat and drink dairy products before I was banded but now cheese, yogurt and milk really upset my tummy. Is it common for that to happen? I think I may have read about this before on LBT... 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01

After 7 weeks of not losing or gaining the scale finally moved in the correct direction! I lost 1 lbs whoo hoo...May not be much but after 7 weeks its great! 04948749-FFAB-E84C-90A7-1D94AFDDA05E 1.03.01

Almond milk is made out of pressed almonds...I was just at costco today and "Silk Milk" now makes almond milk..it is lactose free as well...

I think 2 weeks is about when I started mushies.... Mashed potatoes, refried Beans, pudding, yogurt, tuna or canned chicken...I enjoyed those when I was doing mushies.

I love Isopure!! I dont use it for weight reduction I use it to supplement my protein....My fav is strawberries and cream!!!

Hello... I went to Mexico for my Lap band and had a very wonderful experience. I was picked up from my home since I live very close to Tijuana and was driven to the hospital. It was very nice and clean all the nurses and Doctors were very helpful and made me feel at ease. I would do it again in a heart beat I got better care in Mexico then I have ever gotten here in the US. As far as after care I go back in 2 weeks for my fill and will again get picked up from my home, I was always able to get a hold of the doctor or his assistant if needed. So yes I was very happy with my experiance and will/would do it again.

So are you saying once I get my fill I should start losing again??? I sure hope so cuz even though I havent gained it's getting discouraging not seeing the scale move down...

I will be going back to Mexico for my fills since I live so close to there....I have not found a support group I can go to here in my area, You have to be a patient of Medical Group of the Doctor or something like that... at least the one's I have found here in San Diego. I would really like to go to a support group but cant find one....

Its supposed to (I think) shrink your pouch back to the size it was after surgery..... I read that some people lose weight with it as well... But then again I dont think I need to "shrink" my pouch since I am only 8 weeks post op.... But the losing weight thing sounds good.... I need a fill bad but cant have one till the 21st so I am doing anything I can to lose some more lbs so I wont be so discouraged...

I notice that I too am eating more then I should...I havent been exercising either so that could account for my not losing weight...I will be getting my first fill come 10/21 and am hoping that that will help me decrease my hunger...As far as a shrink I have read that others get therapy for their eating issues it may be a good thing to check into....

I dont get my 64oz of water either not because I cant but because I'm lazy and just dont drink...I dont drink soda or other drinks but coffee in the am and crystal lite during the day but no where near 64oz...

I think I'm gonna try that 5 day pouch test....I havent been able to lose weight this past month! In fact I gained 1 lb and am not happy about it at all!!! :laugh: Good luck to me!

That restriction that you felt the first week was swelling and is supposed to go away...I am 8 weeks out and am going to have my 1st fill on Oct 21st and have 0 restriction..I hope that I will get something when I get a fill but after reading all the other post on here and have a sinking feeling that I wont feel anything till the 3rd or 4th fill unless my doc is very agressive with my fills I have a 4cc band so hopefully I'll get to that sweet spot sooner rather then later...Good Luck.

Thanks for the info the one at scripps only takes patients they banded...I'll check out the online groups.
