  1. Hang in there!!!!! I felt the exact same way you do. I'll tell you just like everyone here told me...It will get better! Dont give up. :(
  2. What are some examples of foods you can eat during your 4th, 5th, and 6th week after banding? I ate some chinese food yesterday and it made me feel horrible, I hope to never do that to myself again!!!! I am so tired of this liquad stuff. Please share some of the foods you eat during these last two weeks. I've got to get back on track, NOW!! Also, can you have a slippage before you have a fill because of eating "chinese crab angles"?:omg:
  3. I am definetly in the yellow, and I havent been banded very long. For the last two days I cant get full. Im eating more than I should. Is it too early to get a fill? I go back to the doctor for my checkup Friday, will he do a fill after 5 weeks? I'm a little scared!! Maybe, a lot scared.....:cry :cry
  4. I went in to have my bloodwork done and thats when they told me about my surgery info, date, time..etc.. I had the surgery two days later. I had to be at the hospital at 7:30 a.m and I was the second case of the day. My doc told me 45 minutes to an hour for the procedure, but it ended up being 35 minutes. I stayed in recovery for an hour and then went to my room. I got to go home around 6:30 that night. I had a little nausea during the night and one time I kind dry heaved for about 2 minutes but other than that I did fine. It took me a long time to get my strength back but I think thats because I was afraid to get moving. Its a long journey...but I think its gonna be well worth the payoff!!!! You know that song...."Life aint always beautiful, but its a beautiful ride" I;m trying to think of it that way. I just want my self esteem back sooo bad!!! I really dont think for myself that I could have done it any other way!! Good to hear from Ya!!!!!! :)
  5. Great to hear from folks in my home state. I had my surgery Oct. 12, 06. I am doing great. Several people have commented on my weightloss , but I really cant tell that much. I guess its gonna be hard getting this "fat girl" out of my head...haha Good luck to everyone!!!! I go back to the doctor Friday...I'm excited to see what he says!!!!!
  6. I have been taking Centrum Liquid Vitamins since my banding last month. I have to take 1 Tablespoon each morning. After taking them I have the WORST taste in my mouth for hours. Can anyone suggest something else. Gag!! Gag!!! Gag!!:cry :cry :cry :cry
  7. Sometimes I wonder, Am I a sicko or what? I have thought about getting some type of therepy but I live in a very small town and every time I call to inquire on it they give me a long pause followed by...huh.....You'd think that in todays society people would be more likely to understand our pain & embarrasement..but they are ignorant to it. Its really hard when your the only one in your immediate family with this problem. I know my parents are always telling me about some new diet or something they saw on TV. I think they're trying to fix me somehow. Maybe someday they'll realize Im just a woman with the same feelings as skinny people. When somebody steps on them it hurts. I am so glad I got the band. This time I am gonna feel more confident and tell them all to "stick it" ha ha ha ha
  8. When I read your reply it really hit home. Your story sounds exactly like my own. I felt like that was me talking. I really hope you get banded, I think it will help. You still have to deal with your issues, just as I am doing, but the band seems to make it a little easier to do!!!
  9. Helo...I was also banded on 10/12.......weird, huh!!! How are you doing?
  10. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha....I sure did...thanks!!!!
  11. My lap band was $15,500.00. Try www.carecredit.com for financing.
  12. Which brand do you use?
  13. Thanks, that makes me feel alot better. I have only lost 10 lbs since being banded. I lost the rest of it doing the pre surgery diet. I think Im doing okay with it. I guess I wasnt prepared for all of the negative comments I was going to receive. I have had so many people staring at me..etc.... so many wanting to know if I had my intestines "cut up".......I even had one woman tell me I just cheated, she thought I should be exercising instead of surgery...people sometimes surprise you I guess.... Thanks again, I appreciate it!!!
  14. I was banded Oct. 12, 2006. I was told to wait 1 week before trying to exercise. It has been 3 weeks, and to tell you the truth I dont have the energy to do it yet. I'm not sure if its the liquad diet or something else. I hope to be getting stronger soon. Has anyone else had this problem?
  15. I am 33 years old and had lap band surgery on Oct. 12, 06. I am trying my best to adjust but it very hard. I found this web site thru my search engine, and felt like it would be a great help!!!!:help:
