  1. What have you been eating, Pebbles? What would a daily menu be for you, as an example. Thanks in advance. Kat.
  2. What did y'all put on your incisions - vitamin E or? I forgot to ask the doc. Thanks in advance. Kat.
  3. Are oranges okay to eat? Well, the juice of them right now. Thanks in advance. Kat.
  4. I too had the pain in my left shoulder, and was told it was the gas. The good news - it does go away after about 1 week. I had to get up and walk around to alleviate the pain. Kat.
  5. I had my surgery done by Dr. Leung in Surrey, BC. Cost me $13,000.
  6. PhotoNut, I too have a goal weight of 130 and I was 307 lbs the day I left the hospital. I think 130 is realistic, for sure. I am 5'5" - what about you? Kat.
  7. Hi, Andree. I was banded on Oct. 13th by Dr. Leung in Surrey, BC. His phone number is 604 581-2515. The cost to me was exactly $13,000.00, all inclusive. Good luck. Kat.
  8. Many keep mentioning this "sliming" and "pb" ing. Someone told me what pbing is, but I have forgotten. What do these mean please? Thanks in advance. Kat.
  9. I am from Canada and luckily found a surgeon about 1/2 hour from my home. Bottom dollar cost to me: $13,000. Fills will be covered by my medical. Kat.
  10. Took up knitting/crocheting for charity. Kept/keeps me busy and very rewarding. Check out the website below, if interested. knittingforcharity.org
  11. I'm new here too. I go by "Katgirl" (a derivative of Catwoman)for 2 reasons: my actual name is Katrina and, I consider myself to be a strong person; a helper to those who are not strong; an advocate for all! A saver of cities! Don't you think it is "prrrrrrfect". I was banded Oct 13th; hey, maybe next year I will be able to wear a Katgirl costume! Kat.
  12. Did y'all have a pre-op diet? I have been on clear liquids for, well, this is week 3 now. Thanks in advance. Kat.
  13. You are in my thoughts and prayers, FullofGrace. Kat.
  14. I also will be having my first fill before solids. In fact, my Dr. wants me to remain on clear liquids until that time, and he will then tell me what to eat. I was okay for a few days there, but now I am getting hungry again..how will I make it! My surgery was Oct. 13th - my first fill is scheduled for Nov. 23..more than 30 days. Kat.
  15. I am a school secretary, and I absolutely love it! Kat.
  16. The headache should go away. I felt really weak and dizzy my first week, but now I feel fine. After checking with your Doc you should start your vitamins. I take a multivitamin, calcium and vitamin D. God Bless. Kat.
  17. frustrated....I am trying to get my pic to sit where the little green dot is, like other folks, but mine sits down where my weight legend is...how do I move it up? I don't have a mouse...
  18. Maybe a thyroid issue, Beachee? Kat.
  19. Jacqui, how did you start the running? Did you start with walking? or? That's what I envision myself doing with my dog. Kat.
  20. Tonight my husband and I went for a walk with the dog. It's the first time I've gone for a walk in a longgggg while. Daddy was holding the Rocky's leash and every once in awhile he would peak around Daddy's legs to look at me (with a grin on his face, I'm quite sure!) as if to say, "what the heck?" He probably couldn't believe I was with them! I had stopped going previously because I would get about 1/2 of a block and my lower back would be killing me - I'd have to turn around and go home! I am going to start taking the dog for a walk in the mornings and afternoon, after work, like I used to. Cheers! Kat.
  21. As you can see, my pic sits down where my weightloss trail is; how do I put this up above beside where it says Katgirl? Thanks in advance. Kat.
  22. What about soft boiled eggs? Do they go down? Thanks in advance. Kat.
  23. Hi, there. I am trying to follow my Dr's. instructions to a T! I don't want to take any chances on destroying my band. I think the biggest problem, it seems, is some Dr's. do not explain the very important do's and don't and why's about the band. I rely very much on this site and another I belong to, for advise, info., etc. Give your body a chance - just think, down the road you will be able to eat the things you did before, but you will only feel like having small amounts. You can do it! Kat.
  24. I am so excited to have found this thread! I am not familiar with everything yet; how do I find this thread easily again? Can I save it somehow as a favourite or? Thanks in advance, Kat. "In Him"
  25. I am very in favour of this! Count me in! Kat.
