I didnt put anything on mine, I usually heal well, even after surgery. I have had scars from staples that eventually lighten and dissapear. The odd thing I found out that the stitches I got from my lapband caused colloidal scars, I must have been alergic to the stitches, as I have never had this before. It seems that the stitches used to close subdermal tissue is meant to dissolve. Thats what caused the problems for me.

Vitamine E is ok as per my Dr. if the surface is cleared of scabs. He wanted the oxygen to get to my sores. Ask your Dr for his opinion though, they all have their own protical.

Good Luck!

I used vitamin E and my scars are harldy noticable. I had a breast reduction a few years ago and scarred horribly so I thought I would try vitamin E this time. I am a believer!
