Stuck Feeling

I was wondering if anyone else have had something stuck in the band. What did you do to dislodge it? I go for a fill next week (oct 6) .Hopefully this feeling goes away.I have pressure were my band is. Also when i eat it i can't eat very much then i slime and i pb yesterday on cup a soup. I don't know if something is stuck or case of bad constipation. Are we allowed to eat popcorn ? I hope it is ok(band). I am a little nervous.:help: thanks for any advice.

It doesn't sound like you need a fill. One thing when you have that feeling you must go back to warm/hot liquids....if you pb/slime then you have swelling and when you try to push and eat anyway you just continue and go in a vicious cycle!! :P It's tough but go back on liquids and soothe your band and see if that helps....

I do eat popcorn....one kernal at a time!! I am super careful! I get things stuck WAY TOO EASY it seems!!

Hey loriely, ya I too get that stuck feeling. I suggest that if you are sliming and stuff, take a liquid day. Then when you start eating again, go slow slow slow, and chew chew chew till it's liquid in your mouth. If your still sliming and Pbing when it's time for your fill, I'm not sure I'd get one. But it still might help to go and talk to the doc.

YOU ARE TIGHT ENOUGH BY WHAT YOUR EXPLAINING THERES NO WAY THAT YOU NEED A FILL AT THIS POINT IT WILL MAKE MATTERS WORSE, SEE YOUR DOC ITS SOUNDS LIKE YOU MAY NEED A SLIGHT DE FILL IF ANY THING.

Hey Loriely....perhaps you should e-mail Kathy and see what she says.

Re. the popcorn thing...I can't recall where I read it...but remember reading somewhere (official) that popcorn was a really big "no-no". It didn't bother me much nor did I think much of it at the time cause I'm so not a popcorn fan!

I usually just have to 'wait out' the stuck feeling. I try silly things like jumping up and down, bending over... running my stomach into a wall... (just kidding, but sometimes I feel like trying). You *could* try sipping on something hot, but for some people that just makes things worse. For me it can go either way. I think everyone probably knows the feeling of whether they can even TAKE a sip of something when they're stuck. I know sometimes, I KNOW I can't even attempt a sip, or it'll be bad news.

I think you should talk to someone at the TLBC and see what they suggest, cause believe me, if you are a little tight right now, you don't want to be even tighter (or TOO tight). It's not fun at all.

I have heard varying things on popcorn too. I loooove popcorn, and have had it a few times at the theatre, and just recently have gotten into eating it at home again. I bought those 'mini-bags' and they're perfect... too much usually. Never gotten stuck, and no problems so far. I think I'll have some tonight with the Amazing Race!

the best thing to do for me , if i think something isnt going down, is to drink water. this dislodges it for me and the i puke it up. works everytime.

Many keep mentioning this "sliming" and "pb" ing. Someone told me what pbing is, but I have forgotten. What do these mean please?

Thanks in advance.

Kat.

PB= productive burp....

Sliming is usually as a result of something getting stuck and your stomach produces slime to make the food go down and then you actually bring it back up. :)

Hope this helps!

God bless,

Melody
