  1. I told my daughter today. She took it pretty well. I am relieved.:smile2:
  2. :thumbup:Thanks Courtney, I found the ticker but I cannot find the signature spot??
  3. I have told most important people except for my daughter. She is against any surgery that is not necessary. She will be told but not until later. She is a worrier. I love her and she has been through alot in the last couple of years with me being diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago. I am cancer free and I intend to get healthy as obesity was definitely a pre-curser to the cancer.
  4. My surgery is scheduled for 4/30. It is self pay so I am still hoping it is worth it. How can I post a weight loss ticker on my blog?
  5. Thank you. I am cancer free and hope to stay that way. Being a normal weight stops the hormones that cause breast cancer. My hope is to be at goal weight by this time next year. I don't like being hungry, thus the lap band. I am going to use it as a tool to do a job that needs to be done. I guess I see it like you wouldn't put a nail in a wall without a hammer. I feel like that is what I have been trying to do lately dieting.
  6. I will be praying for you. Your attitude is amazing. I had breast cancer two years ago. I know it is tough but you will make it through. If you need support just post.
  7. I am new to this site. I am happy to be able to journal my progress. My weight right now is 218. I have been denied by my insurance two times. I am two years out from a breast cancer diagnosis. I have had surgery, chemo and radiation. I am healthy except for my weight. I am wanting to loose the balance of my weight because the only contributing factor to the breast cancer was obesity MY top weight was 267 and I lost 100 lbs and have put on 51. I am afraid I will continue to go up. I also don't want to gain weight on purpose so my insurance with pay for the surgery, therefore I am paying for the lapband myself. I am praying for peace and wisdom in this path to being healthy.

  9. 218 lbs 5'5" 35 BMI My goal is 150 or 140 we will see. My top weight was 270. I lost 100 lbs 6 years ago and have gained almost 50 lbs back. I have been denied by insurance as my co-morbidity of breast cancer isn't recognized. That's okay. God will provide so I am going self pay.My surgery is scheduled for 4/30.
  10. Reading your post are so encouraging. Thank you. I have been struggling with having the surgery as I am self pay. My insurance won't cover me as my bmi is 35. I have had some major health problems they don't recognize as comorbiditys. I have surgery scheduled for 4/30/10 and have some misgivings but reading your entries gives me hope. Thank you again.
