  3. hi, where are you in your journey? are you on solid food yet? are you having any movement? (remember - liquids in tend to produce liquids out).. good luck
  4. Isopure has a 'kool aid' type drink. its ok. 40 grams of protein in a bottle though - thats a good amount!
  5. wooo hooo! congrats on your date!
  6. ahhh, sorry for the loss of your MB... do they come in colors? maybe something in red?
  7. want so bad, i can SO relate. even after losing almost 150 pounds i still have a large stomach. cardio helped me drop the tummy more. i go to the expensive man with the knife the end of this month to take care of my excess skin and fat...
  8. if you are too tight, and cant get solids down, i suggest a slight unfill.
  9. hi Ky, welcome to LBT.
  10. hi, welcome. try this link. http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f5/how-attach-picture-post-17595/
  11. hi, welcome to LBT. What are some of the important things to do BEFORE your surgery? - take pictures. preferably in something that fits maybe a tad snug. take it in a location where you can gauge your progress. for example, i took mine in front of a door. you can see the door getting 'bigger' each month :cursing:. i do regret not taking pics of me in just a bra/panties (shudder) - what not to do - no need for a bunch of 'last meals'. with a band, most people can eat a little of anything. some have problems with eggs or chicken or beef or something, but that is normally when they are properly restricted What are some things you WISH you would have done? - see above about the less clothed pics ... - i wish i would have done it sooner What kind of equipment did you have to buy if any? - none What about food? We haven't talked about this in the office as of yet but I'm sill very curious. - i eat pretty much whatever i want. i have problems with solids in the mornings, but i just do a shake and am very satisfied until lunch. How do you keep from getting stopped up??? - ??? are you taking about fiber sort of stopped up or something else? Am I going to get to drink lots of Water when I don't eat? - i have a water bottle with me 19 hours out of the day and sip all day long. i usually drink about 80 ounces a day. good luck!
  12. wow, Wednesday morning! that is soon. congrats!!
  13. yeah, i gave away all my old clothes except for a couple of outfits i wore pre-banding. just to take pics in when i hit goal.
  14. Rain, what a great idea! i went from not being able to fit in clothes from The Avenue (30/32 wouldnt even button / zip / pull up) to almost not being able to shop at The Avenue because a 14/16 is starting to fit and will soon be too big... woooooooo hooooooo!
  15. cleaning out my subscription folder and found this. are they still getting banded?
  16. Hi Jeni, i agree with upping the Protein. eggs with some salsa or something for Breakfast. maybe a slice of cheese melted on top?? you may not be able to eat eggs for long, but eat them while you can. lots of great protein. what about lean meat? how are you doing on that? if you arent supposed to be on full solids yet, stick with eggs and some Protein drinks. this period you are in right now is called "bandster hell" for a reason, its not easy and does take willpower to maintain. do necessarily go for losing right now. start the good habits, eat well and move when you can. the band will take care of you once you have a proper restriction. take care and welcome to bandland!
  17. the first several weeks after my band was placed, i was FREEEEEEZING. shivering so horribly that my DH threatened to take me to the hospital. it eventually got a tad better. i am still very very cold, but nothing that layers will not take care of. i think it was the anesthesia. really looking forward to having my tuck now ...
  18. that is a wonderful NSV! Congrats!
  19. nina should be finished by now (5pm in France) and Neal should be at the hospital. his surgery is at 12 central. how exciting!!! its getting here guys!!
  20. neal should be checked into the surgical center by now... SO EXCITING!!
  21. i really like daily plate and spark people, but use My Food Diary :: Online Calorie Counter w/ Diet Journal & Exercise Log . the downside is, it's not free. about 10 a month. i had a free membership for awhile (to try it) and was hooked. i figure i used to eat at least $10 a week in food / coffee, i can splurge on 10 a month for a tool to help me lose the weight.
  22. i could not agree more with this!! my first stick, i figured i'd wash it down with a huge gulp of tea. well, let's just say the i did get unstuck, but it came up and it was rather violent with NO WARNING!
  23. i think the most i would intentionally gain would be about 5 pounds. if i needed more, i'd put a few rolls of quarters or something in my pockets.
