  5. a 10 minute mile? oh good gravy! that's 6 MPH... for someone starting off?? no way! when i first started i was going about 3.5 - 4. actually, started about 4.5 and was told by several of the seasoned runners on this board to SLOW IT DOWN!!!! good luck!
  6. it should be part of your medical records, you have the right to ask for that... good luck!
  7. Harley, your experience gives me hope! :crying: im SUCH a chicken... loathe pain, but i dont wanna be a wimp. only 2 more weeks!! GAHHHHH!!!!
  8. LMAO... whoa - amazing camera... but i agree with Rain ( i think it was Rain forgive me if not, too tired to double check ) it could be the best thing in the world and if you didnt really want it ... ehhh, not so much.
  9. i used to be really really anal about getting everywhere on time preferably about 5-10 mins early, especially work. but lately i've been either walking in right at 7 or a few minutes after. and it stinks cause my boss is super anal about it. (we're all in management but she treats us like we are hourly). lucky for me, she rarely gets in as early as i do ... except days im running really late and we get to walk in together. that's a lovely walk
  10. hi LosingIt i have UHC and was approved in a few weeks max. but i had a BMI of over 50, dunno if that made any difference. best of luck to you and congrats on getting a surgery date!
  11. barb, welcome and best of luck to you. having the band is the best thing i've done for myself!!
  12. hi guys, any thoughts on renaming this thread? something with BMI 50 and over? i have been completely unfilled ... i was too tight due to TOM and just general stress (plastics is coming up) and couldnt even hold down liquids. not a good feeling at all. i had to do an unfill for my surgery in 2 weeks (!!!!!) anyway, so i just did it. makes a HUGE difference. i havent been 'hungry', but can definitely eat more. going to stick with low carb and see if that helps if i get hungry.
  13. i intentionally went off plan yesterday. had starbucks, soup, sandwich and a nice steak and stuff for dinner. back on plan today. havent planned my food though. i know it will include one of the left over stuffed chicken breasts. bloo - the pepperjack did leak a bit, but not too horribly, i just scooped the 'innerds' up and put it on top. welcome want so bad. looks like your questions have been answered.
  14. eugenia great news! take it easy
  15. hope you have a great birthday and dont get "the thing"....
  16. Neal, glad you are doing ok. is the cough better? look at that tummy (or lack of one)!!!! wooooo hooooo!!
  17. lulu, the cravings may actually be band related.. ??? ever since I've been banded, I've been craving spicy stuff. I've always liked spicy, but more so now. glad you popped in.
  18. mandi I liked them more than I thought I would. not sure which of the two I tried I liked better. good luck with atkins. :cursing: I had DH take my scale so I dunno how I'm doing...
  19. ummm, thanks. glad i got your approval. i cant eat 4 hours before then liquids the rest of the day then mushies for 1-2 days (usually stovetop stuffing ) then gradually get more solids in...
  20. harley, thanks ... i didnt even think sleeping side/back was an option... its one of my 20000 questions to ask tomorrow cause i am NOT a back sleeper
  21. harley, did you have lipo on your back as well? if so, how do you sleep on your back if it hurts so much?
  22. Tami, so sorry to hear that you are bummed... i know you dont want to hear this, but i think it's true - everything happens for a reason. who knows what that reason is, but there is one. which would you rather have - a different PS or a different bariatric surgeon for your port? you'll come to the right decision for you. hugs, C
  23. OH DEAR!! those chicken breasts are amazing!! i had a little over 1/2 of the pepperjack one and had a bite of DH's mushroom and they were fabulous!!
  24. Wooo hooo!!! the walking will help the healing. dont over do it though. rest, drink, rest, drink ...
