do you have a band or are you thinking about it. im really fortunate that i did not have a weight problem till my late 30's , but i did try too to lose weight with a personal trainer and all the diets. fact is ....i want what i want when i want it. so pizza was too hard to turn down. the band FORCED me to eat less. thats what it took for me to lose the weight. i feel bad that you have people like that around you. im sure they have good intentions. they are simply lacking knowledge........ unless they have been there they dont know. good luck and maybe your reaction is due to the frustration. i can understand that frustration. its like you try and fail and people think you dont care about yourself. well it isnt true. someday people will see that obesity is more complex than we know...... i think we are just starting to learn ............. good luck with the band.....

good luck. i hope all goes well. ive heard good things about this doc. i didnt want to wait or deal with the insurance, so i went to mexico. but i wish i was closer to my doctor. its good you will have support so close by.

tracey. if you try to run , does it hurt? if not maybe just jog and walk alternating . you might need to ease back slowly. did the tummy tuck hurt much.??? i had my arms done and it was no sweat and no pain. just some pulling and numbness. i want to get tt in the fall if im buff enough. im not ready yet.

YES , im very grateful that i havent had any complications. the band has been the only successful way for me to lose and keep the weight off. i was afraid to have any surgery that would cut my stomach. i like the fact that the band can be removed. i just hope i never have to go there....

I have had 3 surgeries with dr. huacuz. all my experiences have been great. THANKS DR. HUACUZ. some people have said some negative things on here about dr.huacuz. im really surprised since i have only good things too say. i hope everyone checks and does the research and finds the doctor that is right for them. some people say these posts are fake , that some are designed to slam a doctor or promote a doctor. i am a real patient and i have seen first hand this doctors care and concern for his patients. whom every you choose i hope you have a safe and successful weight loss experience. i have and im so grateful for my band. i hope i can keep the weight off. so far so good.

i wrote off mine .

i take liquid vitamins. i cant swallow those big pills. i take one chewable asprin a day. i can swallow that ok. i also drink liquid l-cartanine, oh crap i cant spell anything........ but it works for me. good luck. nothing worse than being too tight and not getting liquids down. i hope i never go through that again......

i run along the river and the trails are so beautiful. i run with my dog. i dont know for sure, but i think im about up to a mile without stopping. thats jogging. the terrain can be sandy or bumpy. good workout on the legs........ i walk and then run again. all together im out for a good hour. my dog was starting to look like he needed a lapband , so we both are getting skinny........ i try to do 5 days a week.

ive been to dr.verboonan "clinic" . not in a nice area of town. kinda scary. everyone seemed really nice and friendly. i went there for a fill once. never again . i didnt feel safe . just my opinion. some places are nicer and more modern than others.......

where do you live. maybe someone on here lives close by and can help you.

i have no regrets. i thank god and my doctor for my band. i will say there have been some scary moments, some acid reflux, and unfill emergencies. overall i say it has all been worth it. i did not have to deal with insurance. luckily i am able to afford self pay;)

i like to buy new. i dont DO ebay. i like new. do you like this machine ? have you tried it.

the better i look and feel, the easier it is to attract men. but my weight was my protection, now i feel vulnerable and i hate that..... but im busy every weekend and im learning to chill and not be so tough.... im lucky that the job i do involves lots of opportunity to meet men. most are very nice. i date a lot but im not intimate yet........... not ready to let someone that close unless i think they are top shelf....... im a flirt , but im not easy.................. if you know what i mean.

PICKLED GINGER ..........tiny bite and wait. take tiny bites and wait , see if it helps. got me through med school when i was puking and fainting. hope you feel better. nothing sucks worse than nausea. i cant take it... yuck............
