The 17 Day Diet
My husband wants to order this book. I was wondering if the plan would be good for us bandsters? I struggle eathing many things, but know I need to eat with more structure. I guess we'll just buy it and give it a try.

Elliptical question
I did finally get some good running shoes. When I talked to the store about my feet getting tingly they suggested a good running shoe. It seems to help, they also said not to have them tied too tight. These new shoes have also been much kinder to my feet while running .

new goals for January
1) Keep up with regular exercise 2) Stay away from the junk food!!!
-
I hate going to the gym!!
You should also consider work-out DVD's. At least for the winter months you can work out when you want in your own home. There are some good ones out there.

What have you lost...
That's funny! Congratulations on your loss so far!

Question for all you bandsters out there...
They should just base their decision on your initial weight.
-
Need some pounds gone...
First of all, don't compare yourself to others. If you're losing 1-2 lbs / week, you're doing fine. Don't try to over do it by going on a liquid diet. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet.

The Scale moved today.....
Congratulations! All loses are a celebration!

Need to stop beating myself up.....
I agree with your way of thinking. This is not a diet, it is a way of life. What's funny to me is to watch everyone else and I am soo glad I cannot eat like that anymore. Most people are miserable after stuffing themselves, but we're not! I love my band!

Just Got Approved!!! :)

Christmas Challenge
My weight was all messed up too. I've kept my ticker up-to-date. Getting close, but don't think I'll make my goal. It's going to be a Merry Christmas anyway!

Anyone Still Surprised?
It's great not being afraid of the scales anymore!

ONEDERLAND! - Never thought I'd see the day!
Awesome!

Vitamins
I can't do the chewable one either. I went to GNC and bought an "Active" pack. My problem is two of the pills are so big I can't take them until late afternoon. Nothing worse than getting one stuck!

My clothes don't hurt!!
Last year my winter coat was tight to zip up. This year, I put on the same coat, and was amazed at how big it was. I bought it new last year, so I didn't want to buy another one this year. I feel a little guilty wearing it, but it's something you can weat that's a little too big that won't fall off! I'm sure next year I will definately have to buy a new one!

Second guessing myself
I was banded on 1/28/10 and am very happy about my choice. I have had no problems with band slippage, erosion, etc. Don't dwell on all of the negatives and let that give you a reason to stop your progress. Focus on all of the positives that come from losing weight. I am amazed at how much better I feel and how differently I look at food now. My weight loss has been a slow process, but I am very happy with my progress. There are so many benefits that outweigh the negatives in this process. You need to look at it as positive as possible. The pre-op diet is only 2 weeks out of the beginning of your new life. Take it a day at a time and don't get discouraged. If you're hungry, drink an extra glass of Water or another protien shake. Be strong. Good luck with your journey.

Christmas Challenge
I just looked at the spreadsheet and it looks good to me. Unfortunatly, I couldn't post a loss this week. I've stayed the same Hoping I can shed these last 4 lbs by Christmas!

I just want to eat a hamburger...
I totally understand what you're saying. But, sometimes I look at other people eating that big hamburger and think, wow how do they do that? And sometimes, it's kind of sickening to see what people are able to do to themselves eating that way. I am soooo glad I'm banded!
