i had coffee the next day, doctor said i could, tommorow is my last day of liquids :clap2: 17 days no cheating.

dr rumbaut i received excellent care there. was a little nervous about going out of states but had really good experience.

feeling much better angela thanks, went back to work on wednesday. still have pain in my upper back at times( kinda like a contraction) but its getting better. good news, i am down 14 lbs this am, since surgery. i am just now able to eat the full liquids , and yesterday was the 1st time i have felt hunger. wasn't bad just wished i could eat something( but didn't) how are you ? do u know how to change ticker?:clap2:

hi I Had Mine On The 7th Of November( Almost 2 Weeks Out) And I Have Pain In The Upper Middle Of My Back Almost Like A Squezzing Pain Not All The Time It Comes And Goes, But Is Bad When It Comes. I Have No Pain , A LITTLE SORE AT THE PORT SITE

hi everyone back from mexico, and feeling really weak, hope this is normal, no pain just very weak, suppose to go back to work on wed but i don't know if i'm going to feel up to it. i'm suppose to be on full liquids but all i can tolerate is clear liquids , anyone else having this problem? jackye:help: :help:

welcome l8bloomr, i feel the same way in my skin,and those dreaded mirrors:mad: can't wait to get the surgery over with and start anew.

aza i have also worried about the same thing, i thought i was the only one who didn't know what full is. with me it goes from hungry, to eating to much, to sick. :help:

kym it's like deja vu the same thing happened to me in school and it was awful. angela all they told me about was the cathter and the iv:( . the good news is no bowel prep.26 days to go, i am getting so nervous but then i was at the mall today and noticed some fat chick in the walled mirror and it was me. i knewthen i am doing the right thing i feel like i need an emergency band stat after that. . plus if they want us to stay in the mall and shop they need to take those d--- mirrors down. :clap2:

i'm ashamed to, post the before pics that is. although i have a really good one, the one that made me finally decide to have this surgery. the answer for me regarding going to mexico:hungry: was that it is cheaper for selfpayers and dr rumbaut is more experienced. angela where did u get the protein shakes? what kind? and how much$$$ thanks

coyotegirl how many iv's we talking about? i was thinking about using nair the day before so i wont have to shave for a couple of days, any other suggestions? i spoke with dr rumbauts office yesterday and they said that i would have a urinary catheter but no bowel prep, also advised me to do several days of liquid diet instead of the 1 day on the pre-op diet for my bmi to lessen post op gas and discomfort( are u listening angela) hope they take that cathter out before i wake up!:guessoh yeah i was reading a journal i wrote in college yesterday and the 1st entry was talking about how unhappy i was being overweight and no matter what happened to make me happy the weight was like a black cloud ruining it. then it said today 1- 29 -1994 is the day that i take control and change my life because i refuse to be fat forever. ironic huh? i did lose 80lbs then and had a full body lift to lose the skin only to regain it. i take this as a sign that i am doing the right thing, because i had really became nervous about spending all that $$$$$:clap2:

I Plan On Going To Cincinnatti Ohio To Dr Trace Curry, I Called His Office And They Said That Would Be Fine, It's About 3.5 Hrs From Where I Live But I Live In Sw Va. So That The Closest? Did I Spell That Right? And Ive Heard Really Good Things About Him On Message Boards. I Think They Said The 1st Visit Was 300 And The Either 150 Or 200 For Fills.

yes, one of the nurses i work with in the er is going with me. i am more scared of flying than the surgery. i saw you wanted to lose 90lbs and you bmi is 36? what would that make your goal weight? just curious . i am 225# and my goal is 145#. i have not been that since i was a toddler:rolleyes:

they sent me a pre-op diet based on you bmi, which mine{ 38-40} was one day of full liquids. i think i might do several days and then the last day of clear liquids, i would hate to get all the way to mexico and not be able to be banded. they say that the diet shrinks the liver so they can retract it to place the band.what are u suppose to do?i have heard that some are on liquid diet for 2 weeks, that would be very hard.what is you bmi?:biggrin1:

hi my name is jackye and i was replying to the comments on body lifts, i lost 80lbs several years ago and had a full body lift only to regain the weight and now am scheduled for banding in mexico on 11-7-06, i am doing this a little backwards ha ha , but anyhow the surgery was actually not that painful, i only took narcotics for 2 days and the went to motrin. the only thing is, it is hard to get comfortable for a while because they have you bandaged and have an abdominal binder on and a girtle? . hope this helps. oh yeah, and by the way,:clap2: would do it again in a heartbeat, even though i have regained the weight. jackye
