Has anyone had their insurance company pay for band removal after complications when they self payed for the band? Thanks.

hi my name is jackye, havent been around in a while, my question is has anyone felt tightness in throat? i don't think i'm to tight, no pb'ing,reflux or problems can eat anything i want pretty much, last fill was ~3 weeks ago. the doctor did say my band was placed higher than normal(placed in mexico) but he thought it would be ok. scared to get another fill due to tightness in my throat. what do u think? anyone ever had this problem? lapband 11-7-06 only lost 25lbs, none since post-op diet:help:

Pasta ( whole wheat, egg noodles,ramen without seasoning pack ) tuna olives spicy mustard salt and pepper yummy love it, i use to make it every night when i worked night shift also another one is pasta - any kind olives fat free cream of mushroom Soup salt and pepper can u tell i love olives if u don't like the substitute with pickles deel

I DID WATCH THE VIEW THAT DAY AND WAS NO WAY OFFENDED, I REALLY DIDN'T FEEL THAT THE COMMENTS WERE MADE TO SAY "WE TOOK THE EASY WAY OUT" BUT TO RECOGNIZE THE DIFFICULTY IN LOSING THAT MUCH WEIGHT WITH EXERCISING AND DIET ALONE. LET'S FACE IT WE KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE, IT IS WHAT MADE US CONSIDER WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY TO BEGIN WITH.I GUESS THATS WHY IT'S CALLED THE VIEW TO HEAR DIFFERENT OPINIONS, OF COURSE WE WON'T AGREE WITH ALL THE TIME.TO ME THERE ARE MUCH BIGGER ISSUES IN THE WORLD THAN FOR US TO GET MAD OVER A TV SHOW. :kiss2:

i currently drive ~5 hrs for adjustments ( im on #2 ) one way and since i hate to travel alone i drag my poor friend along and we drive 10 hrs in one day for a fill. i love the doc and his staff but now there is a new surgeon who is 30 minutes away who has agreed to accept me. my question is what if i go to him and he's not good or something happens? i am afraid that my old doc won't take me back, and as u know it is difficult to find a doc to accept u after having surgery in mexico.i'm really torn. the doc close to home is new to this area and has done bands and adjustments before but we don't have a lot of docs in this area who stick around long, and if he leaves or something im afraid there will be noone who will accept me. help? keep in mind i'm self pay... thanks jackye

anyone have a leak from there tubing after a fill and how did u know, also how did they fix ait and how much? thanks jackye

i have noticed that many have multiple sticks to find the port, had my first fill with multiple sticks. concerns me that one of them could have punctured tubing, how will i know. i would just die if i had to replace it on the first stick being self payand all.from now on strictly fluoro for me!

I Felt The Same Way Post Op And Went To The Er ~1 Week Out And They Gave Me A Bag Of Fluids With Vitamins , Helped A Lot. I Was Drinking Plenty Of Fluids But I Guess It Was Not Enough.next Day, Weakness Was Completely Gone
