Post-Op Disasters
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Don't worry about the weight thing, people gain after surgery because of all the liquids and gas and such. The hungry part does suck BUT you'll hopefully be over that feeling soon enough as well. I don't even remember the pain or soreness I was in after surgery and I'm only less than 6 weeks out. Good luck with everything and keep your chin up!

Protein Shakes
I use the one from Walmart, I can't remember the name of it but if you go to their website and search Whey Protein it comes up. It's the best tasting one I've had so far!

1 week post op ...... Constipation?
I've actually been having this issue just recently and it is NOT fun. Hopefully going to try and remember to take some fiber everyday and hope that helps.

Wondering What I will look like after I lose!
I wonder about it as well. I've lost over 30 pounds already (from my heaviest) and people are like I see it in your face and here and there, me I don't see it at all BUT I also see myself everyday. I can't wait till about a year from now to see what I look like.

Medication causing burning
I've never heard of this. I would call the doctor asap.

Surgery tomorrow....I hope!
Good luck those getting banded today!!! Can't wait to hear about your story. Jennifer, I would have someone stay with you the first few nights, just because your abdominal is sore and you might need helping getting up and down.

avg. weight loss after the band
So far I'm at about 3 pounds a week but it depends honestly on the day if I go up a little or if I lose some. I don't have a fill as of yet, first one is Wednesday.

I finally called the Dr!
Hope everything turns out ok!! I had an endo before surgery and an upper GI after surgery. It was kinda cooling watching the liquid go through and seeing where everything was placed. Good luck and let us know what happens!

I think my fill is GOOD!!!

regret city....what have i done?
Hey Brooklyn, sorry you're going through this depression right now BUT I hope it does get better. Just so you know bread and pasta might not be a thing of the past. It really depends on the person and their band. I've been told to toast bread and eat it slowly, also pasta, I've have a few bites of it since being banded and it was fine. I try to stay away from that though because it is high in carbs and probably wouldn't help with weight loss. Good luck with everything!!!

Two weeks post op
I'm over 5 weeks banded and I still get soreness from time to time at my port site. Oh and my port has been felt by a few as well, people have mixed reactions about the feeling lol. I tend to feel for it sometimes as well! Congrats btw and good luck with going back to work.

Bump
Were you just recently banded?!!? Could be from the tube they put down your throat?

Forgetful!!
This was pretty hard for me too. My old way of eating, chugging soda and eating quickly! Now that I can't do either I just kinda trained myself to not even put a glass at my place setting, if someone else does it I take it and put it in the kitchen. I also try and remember to look at the time I finish eating so that I know when I can drink again. At first I would end up drinking while eating because I didn't realize I was even doing it but now I've gotten much better!

Trying this 1 more time. Today I meet my new Surgeon for the first time.
Hope it goes well. Have to agree with Marcy, didn't know they made a band so small!

WLS is a full time job!
Ohhh I feel your pain!! I would literally have to call out sick from work and squish about 3 doctor appt's into one day just so I could get some stuff done. I work from 10AM to 6:30PM and have about a 40 minute commute home, doctor offices are just not open that late and honestly not too many are open on weekends either. Funny enough my friends mom recommended a cardiologist that had hours as late as 3AM, I thought it was the funniest thing. I can't picture myself going to a doctor that late. Anyway, kudos to those who make all these appointments with small children!!

Tickers
Once you make the ticker (put all the info, pick your stuff and all that) the last page will give you codes. You're going to use the first code. Go to your profile then on top (right hand side) click edit profile from there click signature and just paste the code into there, save and bam you should have it. Hope this helps.
