  1. Since I havent had much luck losing weight I have basically been on Atkins because it is so easy to follow. I can't fool myself into having a taste of something that is clearly on the no list. I can only stay on for a week or so, but find it helpful when I know I will be tempted by going to a party or function. I usually start a few days before so I am in full swing by the time the event comes around.

We are worth the effort and I also need to remind myself of that daily. Good luck, your doing great.

  2. Great job!! I was also wondering how you were doing and am so glad to hear your doing well. Your blog was one I was following when I was first considering getting banded so I have to thank you for all your sharing. Keep up the good work and visit back once in a while.

  3. I'm really starting to feel like myself now, with the exception of the pain I have on my left side after I "eat" something that goes right up my side into my neck. I haven't been having the 6 full liquid meals that I am supposed to be having instead I am having more like 3. Today I am going to try to get all 6 in. So far I have had a greek yogurt and instant breakfast light. For some reason I thought the weight would be falling off, but it isn't. I have lost about 6 lbs since my surgery and I think in part it is due to the fact that I haven't been getting all my protein in. I have gone to the boardwalk to walk only 2 times this week. I am going to see if DH wants to go after he gets home from work. I miss having him home all day with me. I'll be heading back to work next Monday after my Dr appointment and clearance to return to work. Monday also brings my to my mushy stage. I am a little apprehensive about that because I will start to eat real food and am afraid that I will again make poor choices. I am going to try to commit to logging all my food, hopefully here. One of the reasons for this is not only to make myself accountable for my actions, but to help others on their journeys. Have a nice day to all.

  4. Thanks for sharing again. I read one of your posts a while ago and read up on the HCG. I am so glad you stuck to it and it really paid off. I can only imagine that that last 20 has to be the toughest. Hang in there - keep up the good work.

  5. I actually gained a few pounds in the last week since being banded. I think its from all the liquids they put in the IV. I also think that our bodies are in shock right now and don't really know what to do. I think the weight loss will start in a few weeks. Good luck.

  6. I was banded 1 week ago and think Janet covered it all. My husband stayed home with me for a few days and I loved the TLC. Chap Stick was also a help. Good luck on your journey - you'll do great!

  7. All done. I was banded on Monday and am just beginning to feel good enough to post. Thank God for my unbeleiveable husband who has been taking really good care of me. Thanks to all who wished me well. I'll post again soon.
