Good Luck with you Journey my Dear! I'm excited for you. I was self pay because insurance wouldn't cover any form of WLS. I decided in October of 2009 that I was going thru with the process and paid my deposit then. I didn't get the surgery until May 19th, 2010. So, I know what it feels like to "wait". Keep your positive attitude and read everything that you can to prepare you and you will be very successful!! FYI - My starting weight was 344, that wasn't good either, LOL.

Hey Back! All is well, down 80lbs!!! I still have 100 to go, LOL but I'm happy with my progress! I get my 2nd fill on Wednesday. How is Bnad life goin for you?

Lol! Thanks for the compliments! I just got my second fill and I now have restriction for the first time! I can't believe it myself?!?!?! I'm really excited and just hope and pray I make it to Goal and then maintain. I don't do anything extra special but follow the "rules" and I do go to the gym every other day. We are on our way!!!

I think that's freakin awesome! I lost 27 before surgery, but I had to in order to get the surgery - but it's what gave me the push that I needed!

Good Luck! I hope everything works out in your favor! I too was self-pay because my insurance is lame, lol. However, I feel extremely grateful that I am self pay, I guess my mentality is like: "I won't f* this up because I payed x amount of dollars"! Keep me posted -

Hey Jamee! How are you doing? I just got my second fill on 8/18. I had mad restriction for about 10 days, and now it feels like my band is wide open and I'm hungry as F*! This band is very interesting!!! How long do your fills/restriction last?

Wow you are such an inspiration!!! How tall are you? I started my pre-op diet at 344 pounds, I'm 5'11. I had my surgey on 5/19/10. Today my current weight is 301 lbs. I hope my success can be similar to your!!!

finally...unfilled with 0.8 removed. I felt such a relief!

Hang in there!!! Everything will work out the way it's supposed to, I really believe that! I was denied by my insurance. Then about a year after that I went self pay. Keep Trying and keep us posted! I will pray that you find a way!

I wish I were 250!!! Congrats to you! So far the weight has just been falling off. I eat mostly proteins, I do have carbs but no breads, sweets, sodas, or anything like that. Oh, and no crackers, chips, popcorn - you know, any of the things I would eat like, daily. LOL. I've been going to the gym maybe 3 times a week. But today I was beating myself up because the stupid scale said I went up 2 f'ing pounds. I'm still working on my emotional baggage that I carry!!! Take it easy Sister!

I'm doing great!!!! Just a little bit of pain at the wound sites, especially the port. I'm really excited about the new transformation! Best of Luck to you
