Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
You may not be aware of this, but you do have an offensive manner - you sure do come across as smug and self-congratulatory and judgemental - about you. Has your pastor ever attempted to counsel you about this? You would do well to listen and pay heed to him.

I just went smiting Battygreen on the octuplets corner. God, but she is hateful!!!

Do you take off your shoes?
You can call me Ms. Unpleasant for I strive to give you what you've been handing out to the other ladies here: arrogance and a know-it-all attitude... God told me to do it, eh.

MIne is 9 years younger than I am. Get 'em young and treat 'em r-o-u-g-h is what I like to joke but the truth is that I had to f88k a lot of toads before I found that special frog.

Well, grrls, I am lucky too, since my man has done all my nursing and running me to and from the hospital and cleaning during my cancer and he doesn't want my inheritance from my mum which was my original plan (I figured that he really earned it since living with me ain't no piece of cake!!!) but wants me to give it to my blood which would be my 2 nieces and my nephew. We tell each other thank you and that we love each other all the time and he buys me cut flowers. This is so important in Canada where the winters are so so long.

Congratulations to you for getting to your sweet spot. I well remember mine. Now, thanks to cancer, eh, I am very skinny - this is the silver lining in that very black cloud! - and can wear belts again which I am doing right now. I am currently wearing a big black belt low on the waist....

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
My, but this post carries the stench of self-congratulatory boastfulness, and justification. I don't think that Pattygreen's God would find this too attractive. I gather that He preferred a humble attitude.

Do you take off your shoes?
The word is spelled courteous, Pattygreen. It comes from the French: la courtoisie. Congratulations on your new floors, by the way.

Your post displays that you have a fine attitude, one that is very accepting of others who think differently from yourself. I think that your son is lucky to have such a mum.

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
When I was working building aircraft, I worked permanent off shift because I didn't like to get up in the mornings. There were a lot of couples who had young children who were working that shift. I knew one young husband whose ma-in-law was looking after the baby during the change in shift and he used to take his own time going home in order to avoid dealing with the afternoon dirty diaper. I boasted to him that I had never, ever changed one. He said to me: Green, live long enough and you'll be changing one - your own! I could only laugh.... He had a point, I thought.

You make a good point.

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
From my reading on the subject, I would be inclined to agree with the above rant and to believe, furthermore, that children do need both parental figures in their lives. This is, I guess, where Green shows her conservative colours....

Yah, if there were a candidate due for a bluddy good smite, eh, she's the one... LOL

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
Well, in Canada, too, the government doesn't limit the number of children one might have but the government very kindly paid for home assistance for my middle class friends who came home with twins. The home care lasted only a week, and, as these folks were older and completely inexperienced at dealing with new-borns, the assistance was much appreciated.

Octuplets and SIX other children??!!!
Up here if one wants to start up a home day care service the government has certain rules and regulations as to how many attendents must be on site with respect to the number of children. This only makes sense, babies and toddlers can run into difficulties so easily, I have heard. There is no way that Octotwat will be able to look after all those preemies and her angry/jealous older kids on her own or even with her hardworking mother in attendance. The place will become dirty and crawling with germs - not a good idea for young babies. They will need feeding and changing frequently. And there will be 8 of them! At the same time I wouldn't want to be one of Octomom's helpers. I cannot see that she will treat them with the respect which they deserve.

Yup, but I look at it this way: the upside is that if Pattygreen's god really does exist I get to say to him that he has a lot of "'splaining to do..." lol And so will I, of course.... Oops, my bad, I am gonna say.

Oh, but my cancer is fatal and the advantage of dying is that I won't have to take a lawn mower to my very hairy legs!!! lol

My sister-in-law who happens to be visiting and I were discussing this very matter, now that you have raised the issue, and we both believe that we would have abortions on the understanding that our babies would have Down's Syndrome. Sadly, this society is not equipped to deal with challenged children and therefore, the burden will rest on the family. The problem arises when the family is gone. I have known many elderly people with perfectly charming challenged adult children who were justifiably concerned about their own mortality.

Foetus is the British way of spelling fetus. The word comes from the Greek. I am Canadian with British parents, and Canadians tend to favour the British spelling, thus I tend to favour it, too. Thanks, though, for your corrections. I sure do appreciate.

Hah! They used to call me "Mean Green." She is Batty in my opinion. I have never, ever run across such a self-absorbed, uncaring, shamelessly egocentric individual.

I just want to say that Battygreen is driving me nutz. Just saying, eh.......

Pre chemo and post band, I was losing some of my thick wavy blonde hair; after chemo it grew in hyper curly - like a little lamb - just after I wash it and very, very thick. It is so thick that it has no room to lie down on my head but grows straight up. Folks who see it are amazed by it. It is now 3" tall. And it is grey and darker in patches. Doesn't match the rug at all! LOL That is still blonde.
