  1. That is utterly f**ked up! That woman is whacked!!
  2. I have had my band for 2 years and almost 5 months.
  3. Yah, food is beginning to have its dangerous allure again but sadly, thanks to my ruined mouth (ruined through radiation of my throat) and my difficulties with swallowing, I can't eat any hard dry stuff and that leaves most forms of protein out. I am gaining weight but I don't have to throw my belts away just yet! I have a ways to go before I will be where I was before I was banded but I am definitely entering the foothills.... I do need a fill and I do need to be damn cautious about what I allow into the house. It sure is a lousy winter this year and this inspires a grrl to want to eat!
  4. Some women collect shoes, some collect jewellery, and some collect babies, I guess...... I personally think that there should be moderation in all things.
  5. It is very difficult for a child who loves to eat to refuse something delicious (and fattening) that is offered to her by her grandmother. It is very difficult for us to refuse delicious food that is lurking in our fridges and cupboards. When it came to freewill, I really didn't have much. That is why the lapband was so useful; I felt full and did not have to rely on will power to say "no." This reminds me: I think I am gonna need a fill soon.
  6. Momma sounds a little flakey, eh?
  7. I don't think that there should be laws. This would put the entire mental health profession out of business.
  8. Then you are hot for dentists.........?
  9. Ha ha. I routinely hear God talking to me in Walmart. He once told me about stuff being discounted in aisle 7! And 7 is a holy number, eh. lol As for Catholics not being part of the Christian family, well, I don't agree with that statement. The Catholic and Orthodox churches are the 2 senior branches of the Christian family of churches. Not only do they believe in Jesus Christ but without their missionary work and their conservation of the scriptures in the early centuries there would be no Christianity!
  10. Yep, I had a boyfriend who was like that. He was fabulous in the sack - lots of staying power and lots of recovery power - but touch him in the butt region and that particular session was all over for him. All over in a shower of fireworks! I don't think that this is an issue of gayness or straightness but just one of the simple sexual mechanics of the body. Some stuff makes you feel very, very good and some stuff does not. What is an issue of gayness or straightness is WHO you happen to be thinking of while you are getting off (who inhabits your fantasy life). If it is someone of the opposite sex, then you are straight, if not, well then, you are gay. There now, wasn't that simple?
  11. Crick, I am sorry to hear of your humiliating experience in the chat room. It can be just as tough/impossible to shed 40 lbs without outside help as 140, I think. I weighed 195 lbs the morning of my operation and I am 5'6". I had my band done in Toronto, Canada and, yes, 40 stubborn lbs was what I was hoping to get rid of. The band, by the way, worked like a charm for me because I don't have a sweet tooth. I am a volume eater. Stick with the band rules and you will do just fine. Congratulations on getting the band!!!!
  12. Thanks for enlightening me. I found your post very interesting. (My ancestors on my father's side were mistreated. They were European Jews. Mistreatment of the Jews goes back centuries and culminated in Hitler's Holocaust. This mistreatment was done by the Christian majority for religious and economic reasons.)
  13. Bwahahaha. Does that mean that any guy who enjoys getting blow jobs but not giving them is gay? If so, I met a helluva lot of them who are claiming that they are straight. I say: You got to give a little in order to get a little.
  14. Yep, this is one activity where underhung is better! And you have got to take it slow! Anal sex can do a lot of damage. The one who is being penetrated can easily find that his or her sphincter is torn. This practice is actually how the AIDS virus has been so easily spread throughout the male homosexual community. These rips permit semen to blood contamination.
  15. Though your comments were not addressed to me and you may even be on my side in this debate, your written communication skills are so poor that I for one have no idea what you are talking about. Christians in the plural should never be seen with an apostrophe which is this little ' item. The apostrophe when placed before the s signifies the single possessive form of the noun. Then, what you want to say in your third sentence is, "Unified," (I place the quotation marks around the word "unified" in order to indicate that this was PG's word and that you are quoting her) you're (you're is the contraction of you are; your signifies the pronoun you in its possessive form), and "wacked" is spelled with an H - whacked. Now, for the purposes of this debate, it is always advisable that you reinforce your statements with examples and background info. What happened in Connecticut to make it one of the "original killing" fields? And how has PG promoted prostitution other than by exhausting and alienating many others by her insistence that it is a SIN and therefore simply not allowable. It is true that too much bossiness does inspire one to run out and rebel. In fact, if I were younger and a man, I might be tempted to run out right now and find myself a pro. lol
  16. The aboriginals, the folks who were on this continent first, were animists, I believe. There are many of them, particularly in my country, Canada, who do not feel "included." For many, many decades it was our government's practice to forcibly pluck their children off the reservations and send them away to boarding schools operated by Christians missions of a variety of denominations. These kids would be returned to their tribes years later, alienated from their tribal folkways but not adept either at the white man's ways, either. Usually they were beaten, and often they were sexually abused. What we now have in Canada is a lot of extremely dysfunctional native folks. There is a disproportionate number of native men in jail and substance abuse is a serious problem. The Canadian government has been required to apologize and, in certain egregious cases, to pay restitution. The complaints are on-going. Though, historically speaking, you seem to have treated the native folk much worse - going in for warfare and open slaughter - those who survived all of this seem to be much less damaged by your society than ours do. Nevertheless, they were here first and they were neither Christian nor atheists.
  17. Don't feel bad. Dogs and cats are best trained by rewarding them with little treats. I was told by my dad that he would give me 2Gs after I finished my second year of university. My dad also got my brother to eat strawberries by giving him a dime for everyone he ate. I liked strawberries and was highly jealous that I didn't get any cash for eating my share. Using rewards is so much kinder than using punishments and is just effective. Think of it this way: you are not bribing the kid; you are having her earn the reward. Just make sure that you don't weaken. Her health and her respect for you as the rule-makers are at stake.
  18. Thanks, luluc. I am not in the mood to cash in my chips yet. I just went clothes shopping with my mate yesterday. Spent a bunch on spring stuff instead of shopping the sales. Oy! eh....
  19. Thanks, Kat, for the advice. I had a bone scan just over two weeks ago and my left set of ribs glowed. They took lots of extra pics of the ribs during the photo op. As it happens I do have big pain in that area and the techs were asking me if I had been in an accident recently. Nope, I had not and the previous bone scan was entirely clean. The trouble is that my cancer is the type that spreads quickly - small cell. On the other hand, I have not received a phone call from my oncologist and I am figuring that no news is good news: the ostrich "head in the sand" approach, eh. lol I am due to see him in early Feb and will find out more then. In the meantime I am saving my dwindling supply of liquid codeine and liquid morphine for the times when it hurts too much to sleep. And I am chewing on Robaxacet. (Though the throat is healing and there is no sign of the primary tumor, I still cannot swallow pills or anything big. Tee Hee.)
  20. Oragsms used to help out with my menstrual cramps but only for as long as the orgasm lasted.
  21. Not me- I love the debate. It takes my mind off my aches and pains and whether my cancer has spread to my bones.
  22. Re football games: Regardless of how much praying goes on, one side is going to lose and the other is going to win. This holds true in all contests. This is why prayer seems like a useless activity for such events, even for those who do believe. I prefer the Muslim attitude: they say, "Insh'allah" - whatever God wills.....
  23. Most of the atheists that I know are merely concerned about maintaining a separation between church and state. I read somewhere that the addition of the slogan "In God we trust" on your money was a relatively recent one. This was done sometime during the 20th century - in the 1950s under President Eisenhower, I think. (I personally find it kind of amusing to have a reference to God on that which is Caesar's but that is just my sense of humour.) But you are right when you say that the majority of Americans are believers. I have read statistics which corroborate this. Your country was, however, founded on splendid revolutionary principles, including that of freedom of belief (and disbelief). If you do not adhere to the separation of state and religion then you run the risk of turning your country into one of those Islamo-states which we currently see performing attrocities against those who do not conform to the rules of their religion in the middle east. It is my opinion that your founding fathers were very wise individuals.
  24. Your mum is behaving in a dishonourable way. She had her chance at raising a child when she was raising you. Now it is your turn and she is undercutting you. This is not right and it is only going to hurt your child. You are doing the right thing when you tell her to butt out.
