  1. As others said, 33 lbs in 2 months is fantastic! It is not a race, it is a new way to live. Great going and keep up with your had work. It ain't, always, easy, but it is worth it! Karen
  2. Congrats on a successfully skinny you!
  3. can't eat steak, either. Mostly I eat fish, and some chicken, but it can't be dry! I need to have a sauce of some sort for my chicken. I can eat chili with hamburger and sometimes pasta with meat sauce or meatballs.
  4. Best wishes, gas-x helps, but walking is most important. If you are not doing it, get up, walk in the house and when the weather is good, go around the block. No one is saying run the mile, or anything, just walk! Karen
  5. Congrats on the NSV, and your engagement! I had to have my wedding ring cut off my finger 27 years ago, and just had it fixed back to fit me, size 6 at Christmas time. Have not taken it off since!!!
  6. Best wishes line-dancer. I have been there, too! My surgeon suggests that if you have the bug, you need to get the fill removed to vomit. Real vomiting can cause slippage. Karen
  7. Congratulations. By the way, there is a lady looking for someone in St. Petersburg area.(see flrosie)! Thanks
  8. Best wishes Rayvon. I like your name!
  9. If you need a fill, it might be normal to be so hungry between meals. But, there is "headhunger"! My surgeon is really a big believer in that, too! Try to stick to your 4 oz of protein and 1/2 cup of veggies. Best wishes, hopefully your surgeon can help you tomorrow!
  10. you need to fill your profile! If you have not had a fill, it is unlikely you are too tight. You do need to speak to you surgeon! Best wishes!
  11. See your surgeon. You may be a bit too tight for right now! Best wishes for your wellbeing.Karen
  12. I had my gallbladder removed in 2001. I don't think that there was that much of a problem. I have maybe 1 or 2 extra tiny scars on my abs area!
  13. You will be fine! Best wishes!!
  14. Funny missybear, that is my old man! I am mostly past that stage! It doesn't really take that long for your body to adjust to the extra gasses!
  15. All of the above. To more explain NSV- it is when you accomplish something that was impossible before loss of weight through banding!IE: fitting into smaller size, not having to have extension on seatbelts, being able to tie your own shoes, painting your own toe nails, get the idea! Best wishes to you and all newbees! Karen, 3 1/2 years!
  16. Liquids in/liquids out, Pastor Cody! But, almost, as soon as you start intaking normal food, your liquid farts go away! It is worth it! My gas, was also, released from burping, which is just as bad, at 1st. Then the burps are nt stinky, after awhile, too! I went to church 2 days after surgery, and I kept burping. How embarrassing is that for a choir member? Best wishes to all you newbees! Karen PS: the shoulder pain comes from the gas that they give you while under sedation. It goes away with walking and some gas-x strips!
  17. Best wishes! You can do it!

I had sever gall bladder attacks before having my lapband. It sounds a lot like that. My daughter had hers removed prior to lapband, too. But many people experience gall bladder problems after losing a llot of weight. Good luck, the surgery is not too bad. My biggest problem was the surgeon missed a couple stones in my bile duct, and I had to go back into hospital for 3 days, because of pancreatitis. Be careful for jaundice! Also, is your urine colored. Mine was pretty red! Best wishes. Karen
  19. I do, as necessary. They are after all, stool softeners!Good luck!Karen
  20. Sorry, you look very young! I thought maybe you were looking to change your look for college, or a new career! Good luck to your wife and you, and congrats on your daughter!
  21. You look good Joey! You look young, I assume your goal is to reach a certain weight to feel better and look more attractive. You are nearing that goal! Best wishes for a successful future! Karen
  22. Awesome NSV, and then to look at the scale to realize you are doing great! Karen
  23. Hey B-52, I hope that you are doing good. I missed all the drama! At any rate, a take care and if you go away for a year, take care and God bless! Karen
  24. There were a lot of people i did not tell. My d-i-l came up with "she watches what she eats, and exercises a lot. All true! We both just left off teh other part to strangers and casual friends. Karen
