  1. I say whatever works for you! But I have 5 cc and can't tolerate anything more. Possibly you need to see a nutritionist! If you are eating around your band, that could be your problem. Best wishes, for an answer to your dilemma.
  2. Nope, satisfied with my lapband. I would, also, be interested!

  7. By the way, I don't work, but my friend, who had the surgery, wasn't going to tell. Our surgeon told her she should, as it might keep her honest to herself too!

  9. Welcome Marissa! As stated above, we were all new and looking for help! I just wanted to talk to someone who was experiencing what I was. It is a scarey and yet awesome experieicne and everyone here has goen through it. Oh, it is so nice to share with folks that understand! So once again, wlecome, ask questions, or just tell us how you feel. Karen aka...kll724
  10. I agree! New earrings for ears that lost weight, too!
  11. I klove NSV, especialy clothing ones! I do love clothes! Haha!
  12. I don't use tham, so can't advise. My surgeon said he has no problem with shakes. Hmm different strokes for different folks!
  13. I could not have said it better B-52! Basically PB= Productive burping! Sliming=the backing up of all that saliva, and it has no where to go but OUT! Usally when that happens, you get PB too!
  14. I got mine in my packet from the surgeon's office, but I think it was from lapband people.I have never used it. I am over 55 so I can eat off senir o menu. But, don't mostly if I feel like I can't et much, I order an appetizer. A lot of the restaurants I go to have 1/2 meals, and if not I immediatley ask for a box after cutting what I think I can eat off, then I boz for take home the rest. I usually don't have hubby with me, so he gets my leftovers!
  15. Everyone has good advice. My main advice is to get up and walk ASAP! I walked about 5 times, around the hospital, it is one floor and small. There I was pushing my intravenous meds, and solutions around and walking the halls! Plus, I had trouble sleeping and my insurance demanded an overnight stay! Best wishes
  16. dylanmiles23 said what I was going to say, some people don't need afill. You are going thru bandster hell right now. Just hang in there. As you progress thru your stages, it will be little easier. I was 6 months from my start until my surgery, during that time, I saw a nutritionist who advised me to use a smaller plate and showed me the size of my Protein, veggies, dairy etc. I have not used a full size plate in almost 5 years! I am surprised that you are able to add raw veggies, make sure that you chew them well. My surgeon considers cottage cheese not a mushies. So, you are kind of lucky. Best wishes, to you! Hang in there. Don't let your appetite undo your success! Karen
  17. Wow! They do sound yummy! Christmas is just around the corner! Thanks for the recipes!
  18. You can do it! It is a little scarey, but we are here to hold your hand before an dafter. yo can just let su know if we can assit. I guess mostly, follow what your surgeon orders. He/she is the one that knows you best. We can answer any questions but surgeon's advice is most importnat. Walk as much as you can, stand up straight as possible.( that was an advice I learned from a man that had surgery on his stomach). Best wishes. Karen
  19. I am, also, here to help and talk with veterans and new lap banders. Sometimes, we vets can help each other too!
  20. Noooooo! follow your surgeon's plan! Best wishes, hope that you are back on track!

  22. That is why I chose my surgeon to do my fills,. My surgeon is a lapband patient. He understands head hunger, and everything else, too.
  23. Try some pineapple juice or coke. It will help, too!
  24. I use a small fork and salad plate. when I 1st started out, I did use a small spoon and fork that I had left over from when my grands were babies. I used them for awhile, you will get used to the size of bite shortly!
