Are Those New Jeans?

Recommended Posts

Nope! You just haven't seen them on me

for a while! And the last time you saw them I had to jump off the roof to get in them! Not this time! Slid right on. I am down 25.4 lbs since starting my 2 week liquid diet on 10/15/13. I am finally starting to notice it in my clothes. Guess they were all a little tighter than I thought????

I have pair of size 14 jeans I bought when I lost a bunch of weight 10 years ago. They are at the top of my NSV list (but about 120lbs away). Gettin my band December 18th. Congrats to you on your NSV!

I get that all the time at work, "is that a new shirt/pants/dress?" And my answer is always the same as yours, "Nope, just haven't worn it in x number of years.

I'm really looking forward to when I run out of my smaller size clothing and get to start buying new clothes.

I'm wallowing in my too big clothes still, not wanting to purchase new ones just yet. I have some things that are smaller and I have to get into my attic to dig them out.

I'm so not the clothes person, but it does feel good to see how big my pants are now! Problem is I am going to have to take them to tailor soon or wear a belt (being short waist-ed this is a bit uncomfortable for me at the port site) before they start falling down. I no longer have to unbutton or unzip them to get them off!

I also have tons of clothes that were too small and now my closet is crammed tight as I can't bring myself to abandon clothes that I'm starting to swim in.

I've committed myself to throwing away at least 1 article of clothing a month (the largest and oldest thing specifically). It's slowly getting easier but after years of struggling to find clothes that fit it's hard to just "throw clothes away" even when they're too worn out to even donate.

I like that idea Fred, and my husband will just LOVE it! Between work clothes and casual clothes not to mention the shoes....he'd be over the moon if I got rid of at least one thing a month!

My closet is pretty much bare...it used to be full...and I can't "shop" in my closet any longer in my smaller clothes...its time. Time to go get new clothes. Sigh...and shoes. My feet have shrunk a whole size. Went from almost a size 26 to 16 in bottoms aand 14 in tops...since January.

Get a new outfit. It is fantastic for your self esteem. I want new uniforms. I've only been wearing this batch 3 or 4 months, but I'm going to wear them through the winter cuz I can get my long johns under them.....and easily.

I say shed the old stuff that's too big -- cause WE ARE NOT GOING BACK THERE! And shedding in general just feels good. Unless you are my husband or son, who rifle through bags in the car to see if I'm throwing out any of their stuff.

I had some of my old favorites from 10 years age still tucked away, hoping one day they would fit. Some jeans do , some im still working on. I love to try on clothes now and they are too big.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
