Lb Surgery In 3 Days!

My LB surgery is set for this Friday (12/6)! I'm getting nervous!! Am on a 1,000 calorie diet of sugar free no fat items (mostly protein shakes). Today I wasn't even thinking and almost grabbed something to snack on 3 times when I got home from work. Today I only had one incident. Saturday was the worst. Felt weak and wondered how I was going to last a week on this pre-op diet!! Am excited its finally time bit know this is also no more bad habits, gone for good or else!!!

You're in the home stretch now. Stay strong!

You can do it! It is a little scarey, but we are here to hold your hand before an dafter. yo can just let su know if we can assit. I guess mostly, follow what your surgeon orders. He/she is the one that knows you best. We can answer any questions but surgeon's advice is most importnat. Walk as much as you can, stand up straight as possible.( that was an advice I learned from a man that had surgery on his stomach). Best wishes. Karen

You're almost there! I'm with Karen on the walking -- what a difference that made. To the healing and recovery time but also walking in the hospital all I could then at home around the driving circle turned me into a walker. Now I actually look forward to doing it and let me tell you that was not me pre-band. The pre-op diet is so hard but you're getting your liver ready for a few days from now when the surgeon needs all the room possible for installing the band easily. Best wishes to you for a speedy recovery.
