  1. Make sure that you only drink clear liquids the rest of today. I could only have clear liquids for 2 dyas and then full liquids for 2 days. DOn't try to intake too much at one time, either, that aslo, might cause nausea! Good lcuk, Karen
  2. I guess that I am abnormal as I did have restriction before my 1st fill. I was on the 6 month monitored diet,it helped. I only ate from a salad plate and restricted myself. But, I tried to eat a 2nd peace of pizza(this was before my 1st fill), I got my 1st pb that day. Go carefully on your band! Good luck, Karen
  3. I only have 5 cc in my band, The surgeon said if he puts any in, it will be too tight. I guess, according to him, I am in teh green zone. But I have been eating ice cream. I need to stay away from that as it is my weakness. (he threatened to take some out!!)Karen
  4. I have found that my toleranace is much lower the more weight i loose. The last time I had a glass of wine, 1/2 glass and I was ready to slide off the chair!!! Go ahead, just be aware. Karen
  5. Well, in my case, its 48 hours clear, and 48 hrs full before resuming to eat!!! Karen
  6. I agree, you shouldn't be only drinking your meals. It is not a good way to live, and likely, if you go back to eating, you will gain weight. Try to eat at lest 1 mel a day. Goodluck, Karen
  7. The carbination could be a problem, but you do sound too tight! If that keeps up, you will <likelY, get a slip. There is no pain involved in a slip. You get symptoms simalur to what you are experiencing. I have had 2 slips, one where it repaired itself, and the ltest where the surgoen had to repair it. Be careful. You too coudl/can get a slip! Good luck, Karen
  8. I, generally, order fish. I really like crusted tilapia! If I can, I will share with my hubby. I will, sometimes, order an appitizer for my meal. I, also, being over 55, like to order from teh 55+ menu; they are smaller portions, just about right for a banders choice. Good luck, best wishes for your new life. Karen
  9. My surgeon's ofc recommends 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids for fills and unfills. ( i usually don't do 2 days clear for unfills). Be careful because you are likely swollen. Best wishes, Karen
  10. COngrats! Is that goal? Sounds great, Karen
  11. Me too! I am an experienced lapbander, as I 've had it for 2 1/2 years. I usually have a 1/2 cup of veggies and 1 small fish, or whatever Protein I am eating. I have, since nut class, used a sald plate and fork. Usually, my plate is not full, and if it is, it is too much. If I eat 'til full, I usually get a hiccup. if I eat more, woah to me!!!Karen
  12. Well congrats on your miracle baby!! They are stronger than you think! My own nephew went thru lots of drugs and x-rays, becasue his mother was like you, and he was a complete surprise at 50 years of age. Anyway, congrats on your weight loss and YOU can do it, just fine!!Good luck and keep us updated, okay! Karen (we can all be Grandparents or other relatives )!!
  13. Best wishes and prayers for you! Karen
  14. I had a slip, and repair; it was not replaced. I had it done in October and went on a cruise in November. I was 2 weeks liquid and then normal. I am happy with the repair, however, never have gotten to the green zone. I am on maintenace and working hard not to gain weight. But, you are going through soem thing different than I. Goodluck, Karen
  15. I don't think so, but I have all the Allergen info and they recommend you read it before you decide to have the surgery. Karen
  16. You are so me!!! Dairy Queen is EVIL!!!!Lol! Karen
  17. Congrats to you!!!
  18. I would go on liquids, and contact your surgeon. You might need to have sonme removed depending on what you are biopsed for. Good luck. Karen
  19. If your surgeon does that, it must be okay! I think a lot of folks would ahve loved to get their 1st fill at 3weeks; it sure would take care of "bandster hell"! Good luck, but tak eit easy on your fills. Karen
  20. Congrats on your 1 year bandiversary! My surgeon just did what he had done every month. Nothing different, and since you are not at goal, I am guessing the same thing for you! Good luck, Karen
  21. Very nice! In my surgoen's offcie, they would think I was moking htem if I sent that box. Almost, all the woman there, and the surgeon, have had lapband surgery done. I would have to think of some other gift box to send! Very nic eof you to send them that nice gift, tho' Karen
  22. Congrats on both NSV's! excellent feeling, isn't it?
  23. I agree, you are doing great, Welcome to Onderland!
  24. What everyone else said is true! I have had a slip. It happended because I got a stomach virus. But, I also, had GERD before that, and had many cases of spending the night up because sleeping became impossible due to coughing and choaking. This is a possiblity from too my pb'ing. too! Good luck, Karen
  25. Next time you have image problems, check out Jennifer Lopez! She has a lot of bootie and she is not a small woman. I'll bet she squeezes herself into a 2 or 4 and she needs a 6 or 8. You are doing great and body image books will help. But, when you are in a store like Target or Walmart that has a camera at the entrance, look up. You probably won't recognize yourself! You will wonder who that thin and fit lady is. That should help your self image!! Karen
