  2. I refuse to get into an argument with anyone on which is best. I would never criticize toerhs opinions. Just remember, opinions are like butts, everyone has one! But, on teh other hand, I don't liek Rosie O'donnell, so I would not go on her website to advise her that she has her own opinion, and she hasn't done such a great job losing wieght either!
  3. Great ideas for a vacation and just in general for summertime outings. Thanks Alex!

  5. Cg great affirmation of your goals!
  6. Good article and advice. Thanks! Reading food labels is just another of the things we need to do to be our own health advocates!
  7. My son has celiac and gluten intolerance runs in my husbands family. After allergy tests were inconclusive for my grandchildren, my daughter chose gluten free. Both of my grands are very aware of their diets, and will ask, "Is that gluten free?" It gets tough on them at parties, but they survive! It Is NOT diet food! If people should want diet, they should try paleo instead. It will make people who have gluten-intolerance, celiac, IB, and other problems clear up if they stick to gluten free. Best wishes to all. Karen
  8. Gluten free people also have to change dog or cat food, too!

  11. I just turned 65. I was banded when I was 61. I have had my band for 3 1/2 years. I had wanted some kind of surgery for years, but had neither researched it, nor heard of lapbanding. I was never, too, self conscious until I was too heavy for one of the tables at a medical center, and they had to send me to another center which had a table for over 250 lbs. Then I was embarrassed! I was ready, too because of my arthritis and high blood pressure. Welcome to lapband!
  12. Great post, and such a great way to look at it!
  13. But, how do you get off their mailing list? I feel bad(not) that their catalogs go directly to recycle! Excellent article Jean. Wise woman and so good at writing, too! Thanks for both he wisdom and the knowledge to share your thoughts!Karen
