  1. I have been having some major G.I. issues. This weekend I had diarhea, nausea, sweatting, cramping was about 50 hours in row. I took Tagament and Prisolec to no avail. I finally was able to get some prescription Imodium and that slowed what was happening. I don't have a virus, this has happen several times before. My Consult with Lapband Surgeon is Thursday morning. Should I reschedule until I find out whats going out with my G.I. track? I see the G.I. Doctor on December 3rd. :wink2:
  2. I can't get in at all. First time I have tried since Friday though. Ive been sick. :wink2:
  3. I think that is so awesome that you've learned to eat in moderation! You are conquering your food demons. Woooo hoooo! I hope you did a Happy Dance because you Rock, Girl! I have somewhere between 180- 200lbs to lose depending on loose skin. I am being realistic that I have been heavy skin my teen years, and have stretched my stomach out since I was 14 or 15. Keeping that in mind, when I get down to a healthy weight I may still have several lbs of loose skin left around my middle. My insurance(Medicaid) doesn't cover this surgery ever. It has been suggested to me to start thinking about how I could raise the money for PS. I am not concerned with what I will look like I just want to get healthy. But I do realize the extra skin may have me weighing in higher on the scale than I original was thinking for a goal weight. I will be praying for you in the AM! Come in and let me know how things went for you!
  4. By Medical Card, do you mean Medicaid?
  5. Congratulations on your upcoming Lapband date! Just one more day! Are you nervous? I think I would be! I know what you mean about getting invested! I've been doing real well on my Preband eating plan but the last two days Ive been slipping a lot. I need to get invested in what I'm about to do. I have everyone in my house Synced up to get healthy, and they aren't getting Lapbands. Just me. They are just going to start eating healthy with me, and doing exercise. If I crap out so will they. I've got to get invested NOW! I really do want to get Healthy! Just with my Lapband Consult Appt. so far off, all of it feels a long time away. Ive got to get on Top of this! LOL, I think I need sleep. I will praying your Surgery goes well! Keep in touch!
  6. It's pretty much the same here. Its a requirement you comorbordoties, (which I do.) But if they tell me they want to do a Gastric Bypass I'm going to have to say no. They are not going to cut up my stomach. I'm not taking that risk. I have known 3 people personally to have died from complications from Gastric Bypass. Not worth it to me. I have a Surgeon Consult appointment next week, and I spoke with Medicaid they do approve Lapbands the paperwork just has to be submitted. So I know its a possibility. I'm just trying to see what I'm up against. Good luck on your joureny ahead. Let me know how things are going!
  7. :thumbup:Well on Accident I got my Stress Test out of the way. I spent the Weekend in the Hospital because I was having Chest pain. They did a Mirade of Tests. Ekgs, Bloods, Echocardiograms. Finally they did a Nucleur Stress Test. It came out Clear. So I will have that to take to my Consult Next Thursday. I am trying to get all my ducks in a row. How's everyone else doing?
  8. Thank you for answering, I am hoping to hear something from them today, actually. Just the ball rolling but It would make me happy to know I could start looking for my Surgeon. How has your progress been?
  9. Congrats, How are you feeling today?
  10. Has anyone here gotten an Approval for Lapband on Medicaid? If so, in what State? I would like to figure out what's ahead of me. I've already gathered its quite different than your average insurance.
  11. BTW There is a Georgia Lapbanders Group Everyone where we can all keep in contact, and post discussions. There's a link to it on my profile page. Hope to see you there!
  12. Happy to find so many others from Georgia here, maybe we can all meet up to celebrate one day. I agree, SO's are going to have problems with the lifestyle changes you are making, and fears of how that is going to effect them. I don't have a SO but I share a house with my Mother, My Elderly Auntie, and my 2 children. They have voiced they didn't want me to try make them eat "baby food". My Mother who BMI is 35 is considering asking for a Lapband herself. I think it would be easier for me, if Me and My Mom did it together. We are very close best friends, and she is very supportive of my decision. But I am not going to push her into making hers. I am doing this to get healthy, and I am doing this for me. I think thats what we all have to do. Good Luck on your Journey!
  13. Im just wondering if Anyone here gotten an approval for Lapband with Medicaid, and if so in what State. I'm in Georgia, and I'm wondering what I'm up against. I know it can be approved. Thanks!

  16. Congratulations! Looks like you are well on your way. I am just beginning my journey. I'm originally from STL myself but Im moved South to the ATL. Looking forward to the changes ahead!
  17. Congratulations on your recent approval. You sound like you have a great outlook on things. I did the same as you and hid myself in an obese body. Therapy has helped me let go of some, not all, of those memories. It can be very helpful. Good luck on your journey.
