  2. title says it all. My half cup of eggs and cheese better than filet mignon right now! And down another 6 lbs whoo-hoo
  3. well at least you can burp. 1 week post-op I still cant
  4. yup banded the 7th. Had the WORST gas pain. Still fairly bloated. basically felt like a big elephant was sitting on my chest. Finally dissipating a bit. It will pass.
  5. tough one, you may need more than cephlex. I am resistant to this type of antibiotic so it would do squat for me...
  6. I started not drinking with meals months before being banded, now second nature. That being said one of the most successful bandsters I know (down 170) drinks soda with meals regularly....
  7. yes this is far away...but. For those of you who have reached goal. Do you stay at the same fill level? How do you stop from losing weight? My friend lost over 150# , and i believe she had some fill removed and is maintaining nicely.....
  8. not saying this pertains to you....but it is very possible to be fat and malnourished. If all u eat is junk
  9. havent lifted the buggar yet. But he's 20 mos old so he climbs on me for cuddle time
  10. banded on Monday, it's Thursday. Surgery was fine, doc said my innards were wonderful. Came out of anethesia fine. I was very gassy and swollen stomach. In fact I still have shoulder pain. Past few days have been iffy . Pain wa more than I thought it would be. Honestly my c-sections were way easier . Last night, the skin on my neck felt itchy and strange. No biggie, I get hives from my dogs sometimes. Wake up and my wrist hurts, feels swollen. I think I slept funny on it. About 3 hours later I have hives all along y forearm, and my wrist really hurts. It swells a bit and starts to feel numb. Numbness spreads up my neck to my bottom lip. Paged doc, he is at hospital about 40 miles north of me. Wants me to meet him immediatly. Ended up speanding 7 hours in the ER. No one really knows why this happened. No blood clot on Ultrasound. They are saying it's how my nervous system reacted to the anesthesia, perhaps. Anyway my right forearm is ON FIRE.... Ever hear of such a thing? this is not the arm the iv was in
  11. I did, v8 was on my list 1 serving a day
  12. ugh banded yesterday morning. I know my stomach is swollen because water is haning there. It does go down but is uncomfortable for a minute
  13. I only have 3 and they are up high, about an inch below my braline. Surgery was yesterday. Needless to stay no bra for me!
  14. Banded yesterday...started this process in Sept 09, Insurance denied at first.... So excited and sore!
  15. I've been officially banded for 24 hours! Surgery went fine. Was able to get the 4cc band. Doc said my inside look great. I have 2 small and 1 larger insicion. The large one with the port does have a little pain to it. Not unbareable. The gas was painful yesterday, it's fially disapating a bit. But I can hear it rolling around my gut. Wish I could burp, I think it would give me some relief. But I cant physically make myself... Lots of water, allthough I can feel it backing up into my esphogus..
  16. yay! It's both more and less painful than I thought. Directly after I was really sore and the gas is painful. But I'm staying upright, sipping broth and Water. soreness is better. Sometimes hard to stand up straight. Was able to get the small Lapband, so hope to feel restriction sooner.
  17. United Health Care, waited 1 month was denied. Resubmitted and approved in 1 week....bizzare
  18. I had this after my first epidural with my first child, I slathered calmine all over and took benadryl, gone in 2 days...
  19. agiudice replied to Lch8's topic in The Lounge
fabulous, I really appreciate how she speaks from a reality side of things. Can you really imagine being a fat kid with a supermodel parent?
  20. we have the same band date!
  21. June 7th with Dr Elli in Chicago. I started this process in October, got denied then approved 2 weeks later! Excited and nervous. I'm in for the picture blog.... email me agiudice@comcast.net
  22. as much as I would love support, I do not and have never sat around and cried about being fat. I've been fat now for 11 years at a fairly steady weight. I refuse to let this effect my outlook on life. I still do the same things as when I was thin, ride my horses, dance, etc As for going out I still get hit on and never felt unattractive... I'm just saddled with a jerk of a man....
