  1. I have been really good! I stopped losing the last three months and finally went in for a fill on Monday. I lost a total of 145 lbs in about 10 months. I will need to upload some pics soon! I hope to lose another 30 lbs or so to reach my goal!

  2. So, I have lost 145 lbs and I am 13 months post op. I finally had my very first fill on Monday! I'm back on liquids and I forgot how much it sucked! Let's hope I can get off these last 30 lbs :)

  3. Thank you for the pic comments. I have followed a diet that consists of between 900-1200 calories/day and I work out 5x/week. I just made a huge committment to a healthy lifestyle and it is paying off! I am not quite as strict as I was before, but I am still losing slowly. I have about 30 pounds more to go to hit my goal weight! Let me know if you have any questions! I wish you the best of luck :)

  4. Thank you for the pic comment! I am excited for you to get started in your journey too. I looked at people who have had the success that I have had when I first started the journey as inspiration. I am humbled by all of the nice things people say because I always hoped, but always had a little doubt that I would be as successful as I have been. I am proof though if you do what you are supposed to do, you will be a big success. Keep in touch! :)

  5. Hello! Thanks for the pic comment. During my first 6 months I lost over 100 lbs. I hit it pretty hard and really tried to follow all of the directions from my surgeon. I got into exercising 5-6 times a week too. The exercise is amazing for both mental and physical well being :) Good luck!!! :)

  6. Hello gorgeous! I stayed focused by focusing on the weight that I was losing and how wonderful I was feeling. I feel amazing and I absolutely love exercising now. I can run over a mile now without any trouble. I couldn't run literally 20 seconds before. I work out about 5 times a week but I just started by walking 2-3 miles/day. If you add hills, you will get a better work out. Seriously, if you watch your caloric intake and do some extra exercise the pounds will come off. Don't let your head get in the way and have you eat when you aren't hungry. The band will make it so you aren't anywhere as hungry as you are now. Trust your decision. You will do wonderfully :)

  7. I have lost a total of 145 lbs now and I am a little over 9 months post-op! I am excited to see where I am at when I hit my one year bandaversary!

  8. Thanks for the pic comment! I have found that counting the calories of the healthy food that I eat and exercise have kept me going. I am kind of stuck now and I am considering a fill. But, I continue to exercise and that is so motivating and I feel so great after doing it. It is just very hard to get started and to get off the majority of the excess weight that can hold you back from exercise.

  9. Hello! The extra skin is just one of those side effects of the weight loss. I am able to hide it under clothes and it isn't that bad. I wouldn't trade the change from the excess fat for the loose skin for anything! I just figure that once I get to my goal weight that I will investigate getting it removed if necessary...it may not be :)

  10. Thanks for the picture comment! Congratulations on your weight loss. Hitting that 100lbs mark is very exciting :)

  11. I feel like I dont have restriction right now either. I did feel good restriction though for the first 6 months or so. I feel like will power is definitely like 95% of the battle. The band can only taKe you so far, you have to have that committment. I have just followed the instructions of the bariatric center the best that I can.no one is perfect! And I exercise 5x/week. I also make sure to drink a lot of water and crystal light. Now, that my weight loss has slowed down A LOT, I have realized that this is a life long process and I need to just make all of these healthy habits part of who I am for the rest of my life. I had all of these goals of when I was going to hit my goal weight, and now my weight loss is painfully slow! So, I go on how I feel and how much better I like looking at myself in the mirror!

  12. I lost this much by pretty much following exactly what they told me to do! I work out 5 times a week for 45 minutes and I eat basically only healthy, high quality foods. I try to stay away from processed foods as much as I can. I also drink a lot of water. My weight loss has slowed down considerably. I may need a fill, but it will be the first time that I have needed one and I am now 8 months post-op. My advice it to look at this process as an all around change and work on EVERYTHING! So, mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually (whatever that means to you personally!). Good luck and I hope that you are successful :)

  13. Thank you :) Most importantly is that I feel great. I wish you the best of luck or hopefully you have had success on your journey!

  14. I also started out walking. I started to make it more challenging by going further, faster and adding hills. I now do Zumba, ride a bike, and I can even jog! I probably wouldn't have been able to jog 15 seconds before and now I am up to a mile! Just add little things every day like taking the stairs. Elevators don't exist in my world anymore :) I am almost 8 months out and I am thinking about getting my first fill. I only have filled what they filled during surgery. I can eat a lot more than a cup at a sitting so I am thinking that it is now time to go in and have it adjusted. I hope that you are feeling better and I know that you will do well because you sound motivated and open to change :)

  15. Hello! I have never felt hungry like I did before. It makes me wonder how much of the hunger was all in my head all along. I question myself before I eat if it is time to eat and if what I am eating is healthy. It took me about 7 months post-op to lose 125 lbs (including the pre-op diet). I am 0.3 lbs away from 130 now and June 29th will be 8 months post-op. It has definitely slowed down, but if I look at averages, I am averaging right about 2 lbs/week. The first 6 months I was averaging around 4 lbs/week! I do work-out, but not like a crazy person :) I try to workout 5 times/week for 45-60 minutes. I really don't have a secret besides changing many aspects of my life. I try to be around as many positive people as I can be, I eat 98% of the time very healthy foods, I exercise, I drink a lot of water, I take vitamins, and I work on the mental games that my brain tries to play with me. I don't play into cravings, although I still have them. If I do, it is a tiny tiny bite :)

  18. Thanks for the friend request! I love how successful you have been. I am down 125 lbs 7 months post-op. I hope to be at goal by 1 year. Do you do P90x? I saw the pull-up bar :) As soon as I can do a real push up I am going to start the P90x!

  19. Thanks for the photo comment :) I hope everything is going great for you!

  20. Thanks for the photo comment :) I hope you are doing wondefully!

  21. Thanks for the photo comment! I finally feel sexy which is amazing :) Best of luck to you!!!

  22. You're funny :) I am single, thanks for the reminder! I've learned that I can smile and wave and get free things...yay! I am hoping that what I get will even out the cost of the surgery..j/k :) Good luck to you! Thanks for the picture comment!

  23. No problem! In the morning I eat All Bran with Splenda and skim milk. For lunch I usually have a salad with some kind of protein with the dressing on the side. I just dip my fork in the dressing and use an incredibly small amount. For dinner I will eat a chicken breast and veggies or maybe very lean ground turkey with no sugar added pasta sauce with veggies. For a snack I like to eat the 94% fat free popcorn (usually they suggest waiting to eat popcorn until you are 6 months out) or string cheese. Greek yogurt is a wonderful snack or breakfast because you can find kinds that are fat free and just packed with protein. I really do eat a large variety of foods but those are my staples!

  24. My diet consists of around 1000 calories/day. I don't follow a certain diet, but I have heard that Weight Watchers is a good introduction to eating correctly and learning what to eat and how much to eat. I eat protein first and do not eat foods high in fat or sugar. I also try to eat foods that are high in fiber. I really try to just eat to fuel my body, now especially, because I work out fairly intensely. But, to answer your question you absolutely have to watch what you eat after the surgery and eat healthy. It's scary because once you are about 4 months out you can basically eat everything. All of the bad foods will go down just as easily as the good foods so you need to be very mindful of your diet. I hope that helps :)

  25. I don't have blog :( Although I will be more than happy to answer any questions that you may have. Today I just reached the 125 lbs lost mark! I will be at 7 months post-op on the 29th of this month.
