  1. I went back to work 10 days after surgery, wish i had waited few more days but I was able to do it taking it slow at first. I still have to ask for help to lift any thing heavy. My job is as a Baker for a hospital so its a pretty physical job lifting full sheet pans in and out of the oven all day plus all the other things I do, and being on my feet for 8 hrs a day was pretty hard at first. That was monday its Friday today and was fine all day. If I had more time to take I would have tho. But it has helped me I feel better each day because i have to be up and around at work, at home i was doing a whole lot of nothing. p.s I had a pretty bad hernia repair at the same time.
  2. My date is one day after yours and i am seriously considering cancelling,,,I just don' know if I can deal with the post op diet Post op diet sucks at first but not enough to stay fat for the rest of my life. It depends on the person i havent been very hungry..... The best thing I did for the liquid stage is made homemade super tasty chicken broth...... froze it in 6 plastic containers took them out one at a time.(my teenage daughter keeps trying to talk me into letting her have some...its that good!) Now i am on mushies and full after few bites. post op diet not the end of the world
  3. sorry you are still on liquids.... I have moved to mushies and doing well...... I can only eat few bites at a time but really not hungry.

  8. I would call your doctor.... most pre-op diets are to shrink the liver so that the doctor has an easier time placing the band.... I didnt have a liquid diet I had a very low carb diet.

  14. I have noticed nothing is standard, doctors require anything from liquid diets, low carb diets, low cal diets, low fat diets to no diets at all. Just do what your doc tells you. If you don't know call and ask, thats what I would do.
