You are just a little off track with the "I can still eat whoppers ,donuts and pizza. There is no magic whip that will pop out and hit you when you drift to your old ways...............You have to walk or RUN away from your old habits. I d check back in with dr staff or nutritionist for a consult. MEASURE your food you have to in the beginning 4oz is the norm for a meal to effect loseing. You are a rookie don't be embarrassed and don't think this band will magically keep you from eating the wrong things IT WONT.You are the PART that really makes this new relationship work.............don't give up try try again untill you fully understand what you have to do...........Good luck friend

You go girl ! BANDED AND PROUD ! Oct 15,2009

One question are you weighing your food @ each meal.?............Buy that biggest losers food scale and weigh that 3 0z meal you are susspose to be eating..................eyeballing is a killer, when you are hungry. My other suggestion to go along with the scale is GET an activity you can do WALK,swim anything to get you started. The lap band is no miricle thing it can't work without you being in the game each day.

Are you weighing what you eat. 3 oz each meal..................eyeballing can be deceptive when we are hungry,I just know that to be true of me.I bought that biggest looser food scale and kissed that problem goodbye.

Your kids will understand if they just have uncooked ceral or fresh fruit a couple of mornings during the week. You have to develop a exercise habit for yourself. Go on a thirty minute walk while they eat. A friend once told me that you have to do something at least 28 times to develop a habit. Those words were so important to me 15 months ago. I am a beliver, formally a no no to exersice kinda girl too. But Now if I dont do it at least twice a week my body craves it ! TRY IT!

You will never have restriction with fluids, you could'nt live like that. Restriction is a term used for solids we all want that to assist with weight loss. If you can't tolerate fluids there is something seriously wrong.

I am six weeks post op and just got my first fill today. It was amazing. At first I was scared because the doctor got out the needle and didn't bother to give me anything to numb it. I didn't feel a thing! I mean it. I couldn't even feel the needle go in. It was crazy. He put in 6 cc's. I was able to drink the water he gave me with no problems. I am on liquids for 48 hours so I have no idea if I am going to have restriction. I don't seem to have any with the liquid. -
Go girl, don't let anyone get in the way of you getting in the right lane............

All you can do is be honest with him at the same time be true to yourself. They warned us pre Lap that relationships could change. You are in my thoughts

I took off work for three days into a weekend. You're gonna feel especially better once you get to have some mushies. Almost all my bad feelings after surgery were related to feeling weak.

Thanks WB, the Y made it easy for me 48 laps equals one mile. It takes me about 25 mins .Funny I ve been thinking about a waterproof iPod also. I find myself thinking about what lap I am on and then thinking about what I was doing at that year in my life...............really deep I know, thankfully I am over 48 !

Had my visit after my first fill of 2 wks ago. 4 more lbs gone. My Doc thinks I got this, so he said one more visit next month before going to a every three months visit. I feel like I am graduateing or something yeah!!!!!!!!! His words of advice stick to the 4 0z measurement at each meal I don't need to get ahead of myself on this. I agree weighing measureing your intake is critical.............it would be so easy to just eyeball my intake and let my brain confuse want with need.

Feeling great about my decison to have the Lap Band. I ve had many ups and downs just as all other banders even still i would'nt change a thing. 67 pounds down I am proud of myself. I am physically more active now by just pushing myself. My back pain is much improved and even my arthritis seems to be enjoying my new lifestyle. I ve eliminated the need for two of my medications I ve taken for yrs. I realize now that the meds had some side effects that I had accepted as my normal. They too I have been left behind. I am enjoying something I had stoped enjoying for quite awhile SHOPPING !!!!!!!!:w00t: ( from 24 t0 18 I am really stoked ! I love donating my big ol stuff to those who need, a even bigger:thumbup:

Yes exercise must increase to at least 3 times a week for 30 mins. I dont get a real picture of what you are eating you said you eat less than you use to ? Are you weighing and measureing what you eat.......sticking to 3 or 4 oz as Dr instructs? this is key to sucess our eyeballs tend to decieve us on a regular basis if we don't keep a check on them. Especially true of my pair. Review the basic banding rules and keep reading over and over again until its second nature. Ive was banded almost 2 yrs ago and I review the rules monthly.![;)](https://s.bariatricpal.com/uploads/emoticons/default_wink.png)
