I have acorn squash soup (fresh) on the burner....yummy :0) I have to tell someone..yesterday there was a church sale and I went hoping (praying) for yarn. The priest tells me we just sold all the yarn. But, I went around to the other tables and this woman laughs and says that she has a bag at home...la.la.la...well I convince her that she should use it to make gifts for Xmas. I even gave her ideas and told her to google for free patterns So I walk out of the church, and happily go home. NOW>..this is the great part.... today... I see an offer for clothes that I will pass on the my lapband group...the woman gave it away and emails me if I could use comforters...well it is freezing up here and tell her I will pass on what I will not use. We pick up at her door..that is the agreement of this group...and there are jackets on top...husband had to help me get this big bag into car...where I checkd and saw the comforters...and the bag did have my name on it Well..I will be passing on the smaller items...but she gave me a fall jacket that I desperately needed.......BUT In her bag is the most gorgeous crocheted afgan...it is not the regular granny square...I shreaked for joy and emailed her with sincere thanks for all her items. Could you believe this???? Do you think that it is because of my unselfishness yesterday The afgan is so gorgeous..I have got to learn to get myself a site to display my work and this gift...it is slightly used but it is GORGEOUS I am now crying.... gotta go...laura

I am 6 feet tall and sweatshirts have never ever been a problem As I am losing I do not seem to have a problem I do think that I will have a length problem with the arms Please keep me posted as to what you are doing for the length problem I am wearing some men ones because they are cheaper (really cheaper) BUt my shirts are woman Making me think,,,, when I was in my 20s and thin ... I did have problems....OMG...but I will still continue on my healthy journey

Just thought this might help... I poach some fish then cool it then you can shread it with some mayo and it stays in the frig till needed you can add any extra seasonings in my frig now is made with salmon but whiting that they sell in the big 5 lb bags ....poach and then remove the skin it has a very interesting taste and you can add to that one some sour pickle juice Laura

I tell her about making gifts for Xmas and gave her a group that does crochetting and knitting.. She thanked me so much... and was amazed at the yarn work that I do... so she will keep her yarn and when I discussed with her what she can do for Xmas and how to do quick projects,,,,that was the blessing and I might not have gotten the yarn but who cares.. I had to get the flu shot from Walgreens because the drs were out of them ...so quickly We had to take my MIL to NJ, to a small Walgreens that people forgot about for her to get her shot As for the swine flu shot (renamed H1N1...why???????) we are waiting for my allergist to receive his shipment but his secretary told me to come quickly because they feel the govt will not send them enough As for the county that I live in (in some areas called parish) they did not have enough when the seniors came in for their shots So.... it makes you think

Thanks for your good wishes... but the case with the girl.. is why I want them all to take the shot... I live on the NY/NJ border and the Japanese are wearing those dreadful blue masks ... you are driving ..ugh... we went to the airport last month to pick up someone and my god..they came off the plane with that blue mask:w00t::thumbup::w00t: My friends find it funny but it just shows you that they are not taking any chances and are taking precautions and are very serous. In a food store last week this woman had a scarf around her mouth and she started screaming that we were giving her germs.. my husband said I was whiter than a sheet when I met him outside the store..we were with friends and they said if I drank they would have given me a gallon :biggrin: On the NJ side are loads of labs and they come out in droves with the masks... we are not talking about regular folks but folks who deal with germs and things like that.... me I let the family get dirty etc (normal things)..so when you see the masks ..you start to think ??????

Good morning :yikes: I have been nuts these last couple of days because I had to go to the asthma doctor. Well, they reduced my meds for the asthma and I took the pnemonia (sp?) shot because I have taken it in the past and it does help (at least for me). I was due for 2010 but with the swine flu and my not breathing a few months ago..they gave it to me. As for the swine flu shot, god willing it will be in his office by Friday....so I will take it when it is received in his office :thumbup: I have decided that the choose of not breething is more important then if there are any side effects and the band is one of the reasons They think that the reason that I have been so scared and not breathing the way that I am comfortable with is the extra weight and that the emergency inhaler I did try to see if it was the asthma DID NOT effect me UGH, the allergery PA spoke to me after the doctor.,,,her suggestion is to exercise ONLY when a family member is at home and exercise in small amounts. When I see that I am in trouble or need some kind of help ,,,JUST CALL :biggrin: Also, last night on the news they are saying that when the flu hits and folks will be running to the hospital they will not have enough oxygen machines for all the folks in distress (that makes me more than postive that the whole crew here will be taking the swine flu shot. I know that this is a long post and it might be off topic but this is such a serious topic and we must be somewhat prepared... I have actually stocked up on food staples because if sick or area is so infected I WILL NOT GO OUT FOR FOOD...got a couple of bags of chocolate chips :wink5: for my group anything with that will make them eat Laura

My lapband was covered in NY by my insurance, so I was lucky. Since you are a dentist I spent a fortune to redo my mouth and I have alot to go. It will have to wait till I get some more money. We are paying off the work done (and the dentist) is a friend of ours. I need alot of work and would love to go to Mexico. For one thing the implants are only on three teeth on top and it does not match the bottoms which will have to be done at a latter date and need some caps Dreadful mouth but we do not have insurance and the friend embarrased my dear husband otherwise if I was smarter I would have went to Mexico Any suggestions?
