No-Bake Peanut Butter/Choc Oatmeal cookies
That looks yummy...I use Stevia also...but I would add the stevia once the mixture is off the stove..then I would put into a cold glass bowl..stevia must be used under 325 degrees. I married peanut boy...so this will definitely be an addition in my home Thanks for the post and sharing

Cooking fans... please help (vegetables)
If you look on the internet they have plenty of recipes for eggplant. After surgery all i wanted was dip..do not know why? Eggplant Dip Prick the eggplant with a fork all over, and bake at 350 till it gets mushy. When cooled down, remove (peel by hand) the skin. I remove the seeds (even before the surgery). Put it in a food processor until it has the consistancy that you can eat. I add apple cider vinager at the last pulse of the processor. I have also mixed thin sliced fresh scallons once in the bowl. The bright pieces are lovely but I can not eat it. Some people add hard eggs but it tastes better to me without it. Some folks add red pepper. Sephardic Spanish Dip (recipe updated to easy ways but passed on thru my friends grandmother) One box of frozen spinach..defrosted and then excess Water removed In Cussinart add one or two shallots, pulse then add a couple of hard boiled eggs, pulse then add the spinach. pulse and add some mayo if you need it moist or plain olive oil then check for any spices that you might want aka salt and pepper if you like it that way put in frig to get cold and yum away Greek Yogart Dip Plain yogart that is mixed with chopped garlic, diced parsley or dill (depending on what you like ) me dill and then fresh lemon juice....mix well...leave in frig overnight and the longer it stays in frig the deeper the garlic taste..yum yum drooling as I am writing this chocolate dip or pudding..the same portion of plain yogart then ad one scoop of powdered Protein shake blend by hand very well then eat...eat..or one of your kids will finish it happily for you After the surgery to make my life easier..I used vegetable baby food...small portion and then added seasoning..very yummy Carrots once steamed or boiled in water mash or put into a processor at this time a magic bullet would be great..cvs has a clone that is cheap you can then add cinnamin or some brown sugar, or stevia, or splenda or diet maple sryup or any package flavoring. Lobster Sauce with veggies If you love the shrimp with lobster sauce you will love this  and easy and cheap Go to your favorite chinese restaurant and ask for lobster sauce they will sell it to you and it has the carrots and green Beans already in it, you can add more veggie that you have cooked soft if you want more BUT when you reheat.. you must reheat at a very low heat or else it seperates. drooling...yum yum You will have plenty of extra ...so you can save for over soft fish or give the rest to your DH who is drooling.. let him have the rice...I do not get the rice but do what you want My favorite restaurant (can be takeout) puts some egg in it. yum yum yum yum yum yum this is an excellent when you are going crazy. I cook the veggies in V-8 and then eat. You can also add herbs if needed  Yummy sauce for veggies ketchup some soy sauce (I use liquid aminos that I get at the health food store) some minced ginger or liquid (which I get at health food store) Add to small pan and heat...the flavors will blend...it is wonderful Enjoy :w00t: If it is Yummy it is in my tummy

Easy Shepherd's Pie
I have been adding califlower to husbands potatoes for years. If you tell him...then he will hate it...but if he asks whats wrong...tell him it is probably the soup or the fact that you have to make it loose ...works lol

Ok....in an hour I will do at least one exercise tape from Richard Simmons....love him...but because of my weight, and saw him on QVC...must do it sitting. I have already walked up and down the stairs to my home 3 times....use it as an exercise.

The best protein shake ever!!!
Peanut butter in a shake is fine because it thickens the shake and is moist enough to slide down. Nuts can not be put in for the shake becasue in a shake you really do not chew. I went to the kitchen to make the shake for my lunch ( I eat at crazy times)...get everything at the blender and go for the ice...:confused:someone finished the ice....so this evening out to the store..should hide the ice from family behind something:sad: :frown::drool:will make if for breakfast:drool::grouphug:

Lost Too Much Weight
Seriah- I have gone through the clinics and lost the weight and gained it back, been to all the mountains and back. REad my blog even with all the troubles (family) this year..I still lost weight. I am the biggest fan of the lapband and please write me a personal message and I can ease your fears.. I am 54 and this is the greatest. I help support groups when they call me because Ms. Fearful finds this sssssssssoooooooo easy and just really happy. The reason I am asking you to communicate off the boards you will need to find a surgeon who you can communicate with. Mine, for the first time in my life listens to ME and understands. I am not the quickest loser because I have bad asthma that prevents me from doing hard exercises and ugh..to some things..lol..age...but I see a really wonderful healthier body. Please private message...go into my profile and this way it is easier. Glad you found this page Laura PS....It took me close to 5 years to have lapband due to fear and if I had gone into a caring doctor..I would have done it..but all we went to was crooks...who new about this site ... also family friend had it done but listened to DH who said you can do it..well I CAN NOT ..that is why lapband rules...:frown:

Lost Too Much Weight
I have NY BCBS and she is right they go on the original weight before the loss. You doctor can call them and fight for you. Do NOT freak out..the worst that can happen is they deny you.then the doctors can fight for you, NY BCBS needs you to have the urgery they save on your meds if you are denied, In your case only Donald Trump can say ...DENIED!! Keep us posted Laura

Lost Too Much Weight
How much did you loose? I am morbidly obese so MY insurance company was thrilled with the surgery but DID want to see the history, This is not the time to crash diet becasue youknow you will gain it back. I luckily had it done. A friend of mine very large he carefully did not loose any weight during the approval time so his insurance company would not deny him. HE was very very large but medical issues was not a consideration since he had NONE. After two years he is looosing, consistant and all of laugh when we see him because if he had dieted before he would never have been approved. Insurance is a crazy system. If the dr says that you lost to much weight...GO BACK>>LOOK ASHAMED AND TELL HIM YOU HAVE BEEN CHUCKINg UP YOUr FOOD AND USED DIERETICS LIKE LOADS OF teAS Etc>>>CHEcK GOOGLE AND THEN HE (SHE) CAN REAPPLY TO THE INSURANCE CO< YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDEred MENTAL>>JUST A DESPERATE OVERWEIGHT INDIVIDUAL...just thought that and I think that will definitely work for you.

if anyone knows of any great sites for movement idesas
Thank you!! I purchased the DVDs used to have the tapes of my favorite Richard Simmons. I purchased it on QVC and someone had called in and he said that if you were overweight (fluffy is my word) then you should do the exercises in a chair. I am not really exercising since it is so humid here, have asthma.

Hi newbie here.... banded ny
Hi I had myself banded 2 years ago, It was great lost 50 lbs never had a fill but had a mamo... and they thought i had cancer which i did not... well the testing took close to 6 months... the anxiety gave me somehitng that i do not want to post...bloody problem...finally they said i was ok... but had to take care of the problem... then had other family issues. Well, would have gone back to doctor and told him but I was so ashamed and one family member told me I was fatter than before,,,b&tch but should have listened to my heart, MY DH who says he is happy that I am banded just said you gained...was not thrilled when i went back.. So, went back last week and already lost 5 lbs....so whose the happy camper. My goal is to lose 25 lbs by the 18th when i visit my lapband doctor (Dr Richard Pucci) becasue then I will be at the point where i was before I fell off the wagon. Please note that during that time I did watch what I ate and did not drink the water NOR did not exercise...the simple rule is what goes in plus calories burned equal less fluff,,,lol I am now 298 weighing in at the support group...it is possible that the scale is off...so lets say 300 lbs, My personal goal is 180 lbs because I am tall, and 54 years young. At that time, I can see if I need more to loose. I am married to my Dh, my soul mate and we have a 16 year old son. Presently, I have high blood pressure, asthma, sleep apnea...so I guess a mess. WAIt for the day when my boody is not following me :blushing: Laura

Had surgery.. has 2 yrs of personal problems..now back :)
: Yours truly, has never blogged but has decided to do it to stay on track, TWO years ago, I had the lap band put into me. I lost so quick and was on track (very happy camper...lol). I went for my mamo and they told me that I had cancer..well the running around and the depression you feel is indescribable. At the time from the pressure, I started having some real health issues and my child needed me desperately to advocate for him in school. omg...it turned out that running for tests..showed that I had cancer...then the fools tried to take a biopsy and then they could not find it... then they take another xray..there is the cancer...then they get the surgeon.. he makes the hospital pre-op tests..then he gets looks at the tests...get a MRi ...great I am clastophobic...soooooo...I find an open MRI..wait again months for appointment..scared to death...and they can not get the color dye in me because my viens did not work..so the DR from that MRI came in and said..YOUR VAINS are the pits and we cannot do this...but I will personally review your xrays and have other doctors look...he at least said ..months of not knowing could kill a person..thanked him... a few days later he told the surgeon ..no way did I have cancer. MY has made me take the mamo again 6 months later...and when he saw that I was really in distress (go to his office and they can not find my mamos) he did his checking allowing sit in a chair, I think I upset him when he saw how much they had tortured me (it was the months of not knowing) BUT he knew since he had seen me so much at the hospital that I had gained some of the weight that I had so proudly LOST Well, I always did eat the little amounts but did stretch my stomach with large drinks and did NOT have the time or desire to exercise. At time during this period of life, I did forget to eat BUT worse is not to drink the water. Finally, I saw myself in a full mirror at the mall and was shocked to see me and my friend following me (:scared2:my boodie  ) SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO:thumbup: I called my surgeon and went back for a fill. Thank god my lap band did not slip (tested) and already have lost five pounds. I would have gone back earlier:thumbup: BUT SIL made me feel very ashamed  since I have been back...and filled...I realise that I did come back with some weight gain but I probably (honestly  could have been 400 lbs) so now I am really happy and hang up on my SIL who is a nut  I am glad that I am back and can not weight to see and enjoy being without that extra fluff. I will see my Dr. Pucci on the 18th of September and pray that I will be down to 275lbs. I did invest in the QVC Dvds by Richard Simmons but will restart them today after handing out our temples telephone directories to members. I also was told to keep a log of what is going in:drool: the nutritionist said that I needed 65-70 grams of protein. Wish me a successful day  Laura
