hello casinocat74, I couldnt help noticing that I was banded on the same day as you! Thanks for the protien shake idea I cant find a good one anywhere!

OMG - sounds so yummy. I'm going to try one when I get home from work today. I love, love, LOVE anything with peanut butter & chocolate.;-) Thanks Theresa for the recipe!

sounds very yummy but I was told I shouldn't use a straw after being banded. The nutrionist said it allows too much air to get into your smaller tummy.

Anyone have trouble with that?

Interesting about the straw...my doctor gave me one in the hospital and said "get used to it, your meals will have to go through a straw for the next few weeks!!" I haven't had any issues with it.

yummy for the tummy

My doctor didnt allow straws only for the first 6 weeks after surgery. I now use them everyday without problems. This shake sounds fantastic!

That sounds soooo good! I just made a breakfast smoothie/protein shake with a banana and a spoonful of peanut butter and it's rather tasty as well. I could only find the unflavored whey protein powder in the smaller canisters. The chocolate flavor came in the big VAT.

My doc. sent me home with this protein shake idea! I use it almost everyday. I like to use vanilla protein with it too.
