Feel free to jump in here...
If you have ever spent 30 minutes explaining what a "LAP band" is..... You might be a bandster. If you have ever eaten Flinstone Vitamins and are old enough to drink alcohol..... You might be a bandster. If you have ever gone to Subway and just asked for a side of meat..... You might be a bandster.

Need some good advice from people that understand.....
Thankyou EVERYONE for your advice and kind words. I think I may be going through some kind of phaze. I have a very happy home life with my boyfriend, we have been together for 5 years. The only problem between us is that he is a skinny guy, he always has been. He can eat anything he wants and not gain one pound!! So it's really hard to explain to him about what I am going through. He thinks that I can just stop eating before I am full. He always says "why can't you just eat a cup of food and be done with it??". He just doesn't understand. If I could do that, I wouldn't have needed the surgery. He also bought me this treadmill after my surgery because I begged him for it, and now it sits in my living room collecting dust and he is always making comments about it. I think that he feels for me in some way, but just doesn't understand the whole picture. I work 30-40 hours per week and spend the rest of my day shopping, or cleaning the house. Maybe I am just bored?! I am going to get my third fill on monday so I will see how it goes from there. Thankyou again for all the advice, I am definetly going to try and work with my band before I go back under the knife.

Thanks for responding. I have had two fills in which I was told I would feel restriction. In both cases I felt nothing. I am going to try one more fill and if that doens't work, it looks like RNY for me.

Need some good advice from people that understand.....
Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I have been too busy being depressed and feeling soory for myself that I cannot control my eating and refuse to excersize. I feel like I am the most unmotivated person on this planet. I get home from work and all I want to do is sit on the computer or the couch and do absolutely nothing! I constantly think about what to eat next and plan my meals around what time my boyfriend is coming home so that he won't see what I am eating. Isn't that sad?? I feel like I eat all day and then he gets home and I hide from food, even though the whole time I just want to eat. I hate it. I have been feeling so crappy lately. I have decided to have a consult with my surgeon about removing my band and having the RNY done. I get so jealous when I see the success they have had and then look at myself and see a pathetic 19 pounds in over 4 months. I have had many friends that have had the RNY done and have lost all of their wieght in less that a year. I think that the band is goor for people that have the strength to eat right and excersize. But in my world, I honestly believe that I need to be forced to eat less and I would excersize if I saw some pounds coming off. I am just really unhappy with myself, not the band. I have realized that I made the wrong choice for me. Hopefully my doc won't have any problems doing this for me, I really feel like it is the best choice for me at this time. Thankyou everyone for reading my long sob story.

This is what happens when people eat to fast and do not chew their food. It gets stuck and feels like a golf ball in your chest.

**snow** Finally!
My fiance and I were up at Cliff Castle casino yesterday and when we went to drive back to Phoenix we got stuck in the huge snow storm. I have never driven in the snow before and I was seriously having a panic attack! People were pulled over on the sides of the rode and driving really dumb so that made me even more nervous. But there was no visibility and the roads were covered and we couldn't see the lines. I am glad for the rain and the snow, we really needed it, but OMG. I won't do that again!

LAP band to bypass....?
I was just curious if anyone has considered removing their band and having a bypass done. I know that the surgeries are two totally different things and the band is a tool, but for some it has proven more difficult than they had originally thought. I would like to see how many people have actually thought about it. I would appreciate any feedback. Thankyou!

Question for those on effexor or wellbutrin
I was also told that they are a time-release capsule and not to open them up. My doctor switched me to Lexapro and I am much happier with that one.

What you are feeling is totally normal. That is where your port is. It will go away in a few weeks. Just try not to aggrevate it.

I have tried almost every med in the book for anxiety and depression. The only one that has actually done good for me without side effects is Lexapro. It honestly saved my life. I hope this helps!
