  1. Rick looks Amazing! But I am really getting tired of the game playing.. when did the weight not matter anymore? I wish the person with the lowest % goes home and be done with it... I am really debating even watching it anymore...
  2. Bill Question for ya... If I am up to 9 miles on my long day (2-3 Short days 3.5-4 miles each run) do you think i could be ready for a Half in Late November? Kelsey
  3. I am 6 months postop, always had really thick hair but did come out while brushing or messing with it. Now its falling out in Handfulls! I take my daily vit, calicum, fish oil and 3000mg of biotin. My daily calories are around 1500 and easily get 100g of protein a day. I am frustred with it and worried its going to keep getting worse...
  4. I was unhappy that all the boys were basically above the yellow line, I wont be watching long if a girl goes home every week..
  5. I agree with all of these. I was on the fence too about which surgery i wanted, At first I wished i would have went with Gastric Bypass because its easier at the beginnging and your weight falls off. But now 6+ months post op, I am SO SO glad I went with The band, its been a life saver for me..
  6. My NSV for the week, is yesterday I ran a 10k (6.2 miles) in an hour and 5 mins, I am so proud of myself, I started running in june, only be able to run 1 miles and Now i am up to 8miles per run, It feels great..
  7. I only have 3cc in a 11 cc band.. Only had one fill and I think it was 4 months ago.. I dont have much restriction, I am working off a lot of willpower right now and working out. My doctor and I both want to go as long as we can without the aggressive fills and then use the band to help when my weight stalls. I have been losing 2-3lbs weekly for the past few months..
  8. I think 14 is too young too.. And I would hope that a surgeon wont tell a 14 year old this would Solve all her problems.. Nothing is 100%.. EVERYTHING IN LIFE INVOLVES SOME WORK! I wasnt impressed with some of them.. Seems to me they gave up easily on the challenge.
  9. Jessica had lap-band too! I see a pattern here heheh
  10. Another contestant had a vertical banding done. .. Allie
  11. Thanks Awesome! Congrats... Wish I was at onederland  I have 44lbs until then.. Hoping for Onederland the first of the year.. Still only on 1 fill of 3cc's. 14. It was part road part cross country race and at the end was down hill and rocky.. I think i just tripped over a rock, Several people offered to help me us but we were so close to the end i didnt want to slow them down hehe.. Ran another 5k this past weekend and ran it in 33 mins. Cutting 4 mins off my time.. Felt great! It was in pittsburgh and the race finished in Heinz field! it was awesome Preping for my 10k at the end of the month, Ran my first 10k tuesday, went good but was very sore after. I dont have alot of high hopes other than just finishing this 10k.. Do they have meds for a running addiction? heheh
  15. Sorry to hear about the setback.. hopefully they will be able to schedule your sleep test ASAP
  16. Did my 5k(my 1st 5K) this past weekend.. Went good other than I fell/tripped with about .10 miles to go  got a pretty bad case of road rash and a bruised hip/quad. But I finished in 37 mins.. about a 12 min pace.. Its a starting point.. I feel like i lost at least 2 mins on the fall, it took me a few seconds to get up and i never regained my pace.. This race was 1/2 street and 1/2 cross country though an awesome park Running another 5k this coming weekend and then I will be running/jogging heheh a 10k at the end of the month then I think its time to just maintain

  21. Hiya fellow runners.. Just read all the posts. I started running in June, was going to do c25k but i felt it was too easy for me at the beginning, always was a big girl but worked out, and i have been doing running intervals for years.. So I started by running 1.5miles then walked for 1.5 and little by little I am now up to 4 miles with no walking.. Once in a while i have to stop maybe once out of 10 runs or something.. I am doing my first 5k this coming weekend.. I signed up for a 10k too at the end of Sept but sure i am ready for that much but they said i could change to 5k as late as the day before. I have always wanted to run a 1/2 marathon, its on my bucket list (i am only 27 heheh) but I would really have to do one next year around this time, but lot of running programs for half marathons say you should be a runner for more then a year before starting the program.
  22. Thats Awesome! Cant wait to hear how it goes!
