  1. I am one of those girls spying hehe! hope you dont mind me answering heheh I am big into lifting Hints the username, I think if you have been lifting for those 3+ plus months and your Protein intake is been up its very possible you gains 10+ lbs of muscle, 20 lbs would be scretching it in my opnion. 20% gain is awesome.. Good job.. I love lifting for that fact, you always gain and you get to feel like you are improving
  2. I agree with the above post.. Mine was basically the same, they didnt required me to lose a certain amount of weight, but the 6months allows them to see how good you are going to be post band, if you can follow rules and suchs.. I made small changes throughout my 6 months and lost 20lbs. (i slowed down at the end cause i am close to a 40BMI)
  3. let me tell yeah its very fun  heheh its free hehe

  5. You look great lotzasunshine! you look like a different person, you should be proud of that!
  6. It doesnt seem like you are eating enough to me.. about how many calories do you think you are getting? Not eating enough can have the opposite effort, your body holds on to the fat cause it doesnt know when it will get enough calories next..
  7. Thanks I have done alot of research and asked a million questions to Dr. Urbandt and Staff, they have been great so far.. I am scheduled for lapband on march 12 but I am still very unsure of my decision to do Lapband over Bypass..
  8. West Penn :cursing: I heard Magee has a good program I just work for West Penn Health System so Its 100% covered if i stay in my hospital network.
  9. Yep I am an EKG Tech and paramedic Who loves learning about the heart and cardiology stuff. You are very true I was talking to one of the cardiologist i work for and he told me about that, and thats one of the reason sleep apnea is so dangrous, not to mention you can stop breathing and go into cardiac arrest.. Sleep apnea is nothing something to mess around with, i just wish there was other ways to treat it, cause I cant STAND that mask hehe! I have try 3 different kinds i hate them all
  10. I have been trying to give up soda too, I have found cutting back has been helping me and I also take Excerin migraine (it has caffine in it) when I get a bad headache..
  11. Whats funny is I slept like a baby with my cpap at the sleep study and havent slept good with it since hehe! I took the meds that the doctor gave me last night, but still couldnt fall asleep with my mask on, and today i feel like a zombie :cursing:
  12. i cant get over spartans post.. If we all could just give up Drinking and eating bad stuff we wont need to have surgery... Please.. Go and have a drink.. You are allowed to cheat everyone once in a while, I know NO ONE who eats perfectly everyday for their WHOLE LIFE!
  13. I was a swimmer my whole life, but I was still chunky I got into lifting after high school so I have packed on muscle but i cant see it with all this fat hehe! I actually played football last year for an womens football team in PA, but I am not playing this year due to my surgery and my new work schedule. Talk about fun! I get to knock the heck out of people heheh
  14. Stopping to check up on how your sleep study went.. did they have to give you something to sleep? Like i told you before, i have Sleep apnea, and I have a CPAP but I will be truthful and say i dont use it, its has been so hard getting used to it,But i had an appt today with my doctor and she gave me something to help relax me to be able to fall asleep with the mask on, so will tell ya how it goes with the meds tomorrow maybe... Good luck hun, dont worry about this, if you get the lapband, it will help you get rid of this sleep apnea quickly

  20. Anyone told you that you snore? If you dont fall asleep for a set amount of time, most sleep labs give you a sleeping pill to help you fall asleep. I took my MP3 player with me too, it helped me relax and fall sleep.. Good luck!
