  1. Believe or not I go to a support group where we all have different wls surgeries and we all like each other and get along nobody is better or less than the next one. It does happen but you have to look for it. Some gastric people seem to think they are better because their surgery was more complicated than the band. Who cares, I say come back here whenever you want everyone needs support and I don't think you will find that many judgemental people here. I will alway be happy to talk to you just PM me!! Good luck on your journey, Remember God never closes a door with out opening another one for you . . .maybe this is what is right for you!!

  2. Sorry if I offend you too. That just stuck in my mind and wouldn't leave me alone till I said something. I hate that we get treated badly by some men and in your case where you are sourrounded by men. I think that guy said that to put focus on you and off of him . . .sounds like his problem. Hang in there!!

  3. I would think if you would change the way you talk that might help them see you more in the role of a lady. A lot of people take offense to language like that. God is someone I love and it is so hard to hear someone take his name in vain.

Sorry I know this will not make most people happy but sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe. I do not mean to hurt your feelings, I agree guys can be jerks, but what you say sometimes makes more of impression than how you look or what you do. I hope you take this in the way I am saying it and not as mean spirited, the written word can be read in many ways!

  4. Can you revise to another surgery? I was self pay too so I know it is hard but maybe something like careone, or even a no interest credit card. That is how I did my Band (credit card). I did not listen to video but my Doctor was $3000 to remove band and that was several years ago. I hope you can find a way to move on to sleeve or get another band. I would have to if that happen to me. I would have to find a way.

  5. Sounds like you would be in better hands with a different Dr. anyway. My surgeon moved a year after my surgery. He moved to take care of his parents who were very old. Can't blame him for that, but he was such a great Dr. But I have a new one who I have only had to see once as I was Banded in July 2009 and have not needed but one fill since he left. So maybe it will not be that bad. Have you checked to see if USA Fill has a location near you?

  6. Don't cry you are losing just slowly. If you eat too much it is bad but also if you do not eat enough. You may not be eating enough and your body goes into starvation mode. Don't give up. Do you go to a support group? If not find one, it helps so much. Or find you a buddy on here and exchanges info and talk on phone or e-mail everyday. It will help you so much.

  7. You really just have to start totally over. I had a little time like that at 6 months post op, but I returned to liquids and then mushies and then solids. I myself would never let them unfil me all the way as too many people say it never feels the same. But that is just my opinion.

Do you have a support group to go to. It makes such a difference. Find you a buddy here and exchange phone numbers or e-mails and keep each other accountable.

Maybe try low carb for a while to get yourself aways from the bad carbs and you should see some results.
