you should alow yourself to eat good for 4 to 5 days then take the weekend off! it will keep you on track and your body wont go into starvation mood because you have to cut back caleries! no one eats just right...you have to find whats right for you. im a sweet kind of person too and there is no way ill give that up but i have to watch how much i eat of it. and with your band... you will find your sweet spot everyone talks about! i thought just the same tell i got there, and that was only a few weeks ago. i was banded 10/20/09 so its taken some time but im getting there! good luck karen

Chills
hi there! i just wanted to say sounds like your doctor is right. anytime your body goes through something like surgery it has to adjust! i get colder then the norm and Ive only lost 15 pounds and 15 inches. i do have off and on night sweats and the doc said that its normal because your body is changing.. this also happened when i was pregnant with my two children. so i think its OK and soon it should pass! Why am i getting shoulder pain???
i think i posted something about this before but your pain could be from your surgery. its because of all the gas they use to blow up your stomach sometimes it will case you pain i had allot of pain but it went away after a few weeks. u should talk to your doctor about what you should eat i know i went in 7 days after surgery for a check-up and he said i could start on mushies. i kinda had already started on a few mushie foods already then about a week later i tried eating a few other kids of foods they went down good but i still ate allot of mushie stuff. right now I'm about 4 weeks post op so I'm eating norm again but what i ate never really changed too much it was just how much of it i ate. i would talk to your doctor you really don't want your band to slip! if you feel hungry try sucking on hard candies like jolly ranchers or life savers i wish you the best of luck Karen

Do you drink soda?
ummm i really have to say i think that if you drink a 12 pack a day kinda thing thats what the doctors dont want. but i drink diet coke and no problems ( yes my doctor said it was fine!) i only have one or maybe one every now and then

Okay people, what's with losing a shoe size?
i think it has to do with your weight. the more you weigh the more your feet have to carry, so there for your feet can get wider they dont grow longer just wider. im not a doctor or anything but that is what i think. karen
