Oprah
LOL Hello, I hear ya! I love oprah to peices but, she's more relatable to when she isn't feeling perfect. When she's skinny, she really does forget us fatties lol. Still love her anyways though lol. And omg I totally remember her scarfs too! Im always trying to figure out her eye-makeup, I love how her eyes are done. OMG and don't even get me started on her hair! LOVE IT! I wish I could get my hair to look like that, im sure we all could have hair like that though if we were worth a billion bucks lol.

Oprah
LOL Teresita, you know whats so funny, Ive been wondering if Oprah has a lapband too! Have you noticed how she NEVER wants to ever eat anything on her show anymore? Im always thinking its because she's afraid of PBing lol. But then on her road trip with Gail, she ate ice cream which we all know you never PB on really. Kinda makes you go hmmm?? LOL I've been an Oprah show addict since she started.

Holy Moly! -2lbs!
Woooot woooo! Another 2 lbs. down today. Its amazing what exercise does for me. I have never in my life realized the impact a little bit of exercise has on my weight. LOL I know its common practice to say not to weight yourself daily but, my goodness how can I not? lol. The funny thing about me is that I always am encouraged by the scale. If it doesn't move downward or God forbid moves upward im like 'eh no biggie' but if it moved downward im over here doing cartwheels and ready to have a orgasm over it LOL. EXERCISE is key for me.:clap2:

Molestation!!!!
Hm all I can say is, if my very best friend in the world, even if it was my sister, was found to be guilty of molesting a child, she better not let me near her because Id kill her myself. And if anyone did any of that sick stuff to my kids, I'd kill them slow and painful as possible. Id want to revive them so I could kill them again and again. I swear to God. I have a six month old so maybe my hormones are just on high level but I swear I could and would kill for my children. I understand that people have sicknesses and problems but when it comes to children there is just no room for tolerance.

Oprah Today: Weight Loss and Obsessions
Yeah I think some ppl just have addictive personalities. My cousin always has something she's addicted to, and takes the the EXTREME. For the last few years its been running, and she runs multiple hundred mile marathons. Previously it was Mary Kay, previous to that it was religion, previous to that it was alcohol, previous to that it was ...etc. Her knees are totally falling apart at this point but she keeps running, and her heart is having a hard time keeping up becasue the human body is not meant to run THAT much. My aunt is scared she will have a heart attack, her other daughter hopes one of her sister's knees will just totally blow out so that she can't run anymore. But then my aunt says she's scared what will her next addiction be?? I don't think im really a food addict. I don't have an addictive personality. Hmm maybe baby clothes though, I love buying clothes for my baby! Gymboree, Gap, Old Navy, Children's Place, lol you name it im there! HA.

To Tell or not to Tell!
I told my husband and my sister, noone else. Im wayyyy happy with my decision. The thing is, sometimes I can't believe I needed wls to get fit. Somtimes im in denial about it. If I was having on of those days where I was just feeling good about myself and not wanting to think about my fatness or lack there of, and someone wanted to say something to me about my band positive or negetive.. well Id probably bite their head off lol. So for the sake of humanity's safety, I'll keep my private life private. Some people are open books, some people are not. Im not.

Feeling Full - Satiety
You know what sweetrepose, it happens to everyone once id bet! Its not that big of a deal really, I learned my lesson, and now Im VERY careful when I go out. I do not push my limits and play it safe to avoid those situations. And also its not like when you get the flu and all of the sudden you puke your guts out out of nowhere, its more like a slow growing pain and you think uh oh I better get to the bathroom, and you have time to get there.

Sick Baby
My little Luciana is sick for the first time. She's 6 months old. I think she might have croup. Poor little thing. She has a check up on Wednesday, I wonder if she can get her vaccines when she's sick? I guess I'll find out. I hate taking my kids to the pediatrician lol its so dang germy! I always say if they aren't sick when you bring them in they will be when you leave. I bet it was nice in the olden days to have the doctor come to your home! :sick Well I finally bit the bullet and exercised on my treadmil for 30 mins. Yeahhhh! I bought new shoes that are 1 1/2 sizes bigger than my usual and it did the trick. I don't think my sore toe is any worse than it was before exercising. So if it doesn't look worse tomorrow, I have no excuse to not exercise again!

Surgeon Salesmen?
It does take will-power after having the band BetsyJane, but believe me when you give in to the temptation : 1) You physically can't pig out and 2) It hurts if you try. So the band does work lol, fortunately and unfortunately lol.

I'm getting "Nervous"
Hey good luck to you. You will be just fine. It is very annoying how people have to give their oppinions when they don't know what they are talking about. Stay strong, you truly know what is best for you. And by the way you will be able to eat. The nice thing about the band is that it is adjustable! So you can decide how much you want your doctor to limit or unlimit your intake of food. Ive only had my band for a few months so im not an expert but I might be able to answer any questions you have so feel free to PM me anytime. Good luck again!!

Journal Entry
I really don't like titling my journal entries lol. Anyways things are going ok for me. Im eating less than I ever have in my life. But Im still having this nagging toe issue that just won't go away. I've stopped wearing heels, and been donning wide clunky shoes that don't pinch my toe or bother it. I've been putting hydrogen peroxide on it to clean it out twice per day. Today my five year old accidentally stepped on my toe and I thought I was going to pass out! LOL it hurt. I know I should go to a podiatrist but my husband had an ingrown tonail one time and went in and they cut half his tonail off... it looks ugly and I like my cute toes lol. I get pedicures all the time and keep my feet looking super cute. Im fat, so my butt looks hideous and lumpy but hey at least the feet are cute! Ughh I really want to start exercising. Tomorrow I should just try the treadmil and see what happens. Grrr. I have this weird little callous on my thumb too that just is irritating. Sometimes I think maybe my body is retaliating about having a foreign object (my band) inside it and making me suffer lol. Hmf maybe?

Wanted: Help For The Anxious!
When I had my band done, I was self-pay also so I only had to wait about 2 weeks from the time I finally decided to 'get er done'. I researched and thought about it previous to that for a couple years though. Anyways it felt like it just came so fast! I too have a 5 year old, and at the time of my surgery I also had a 2 1/2 month old (she's now 6 months). I had the same feelings as you, I was so worried something would happen to me! But what really helped me through was the thought that I would hinder them from staying overweight. I didn't want them to grow up with the 'fat mom' who never wore a swim suit in public, never took them to Water parks, wasn't able to participate/help in their school sports. I want to be the 'chic' mom who wears shnazzy clothes and has FUN with them physically. I want them to have a good example to follow and to see me living life to the fullest. Being alive is one thing, but living is another. I chose to live it up. For my sake and for my kids' sakes.
