Carb withdrawal headache...uuugghh:cursing: It's right up there with the caffeine headache. Give it a couple days, it will get better.

High blood presure
Lots of people that are of normal weight have High BP. Sometimes weight loss "fixes" your blood pressure, if the extra weight was the main cause for the elevated blood pressure. Sometimes it's just genetics. My BP goes up and down with my weight like many others, but again it is only one factor.

traveling with a 10 mo old infant, 2 weeks out of surgery
At two weeks post-op, I could have made that trip. That's about the time I got my energy back and started feeling pretty good. You still might want to get up and walk around frequently.

Today's the day!
Congratulations! Welcome to the sleeved side!!!! Take care of yourself and recover quickly.

High blood presure
I didn't have high BP prior to my surgery (usually around 125/80) but after weight loss my BP has dropped to around 110/65.

Best friend is trying to talk me out of surgery
I had nearly the exact same experience, however, my friend was really supportive in the beginning but less so now. It's seems that my weight loss is a reminder to her that she is still overweight and not doing anything about it. It's gotten to the point, where I rarely mention my weight loss and neither does she. I don't think my friend is being negative "on purpose" or rather I hope not. But I think it is more on a subconscious level.

Inspired by Tiffykins...Day 21...what did I eat?
I just laughed because the Mahi Mahi was there - apparently a popular enough recipe that someone felt the need to add it to the database.

Personal Question - When did you have your first bowel movement?
Woo Woo!!! Yes the narcotic pain medications can slow things down to a near halt for some people.

Inspired by Tiffykins...Day 21...what did I eat?
Tiffany - FYI - the Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi was on the Daily Plate- same recipe. I laughed. I woofed down 3 ounces of Mahi Mahi this evening with about 1/4 cup salad and about 6-7 sugar snap peas. I am so stuffed. I think I ate too fast - the fish was SOOOO yummy. My husband gave it two thumbs up too

My FitDay Log for today
I track both my diet and exercise on The Daily Plate. I started back in June before surgery and have just kept doing it. I also like the iphone application, let's me update my "plate" while out and about. It's helped me be more accountable to myself for what I put in my mouth and shows me calories, fat, carbs, sugar, sodium, fiber & PROTEIN. There are lots of great websites that do the same thing - for me, its just tracking daily that is important.

Fish Recipes
Okay - I made the Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi that Tiffany recommended. It was AWESOME! Definitely be making it again. :crying::drool5::thumbup1:

Good luck tomorrow Hope! I hate that you have to wait overnight to get an answer. That's tough. Take care of yourself and let us know how it turns out.

Really stressing about the hair loss aspect of this...
Mine has just been thinning all over. I can only really tell when I pull it back in a ponytail - seems like I have to wrap the band around an extra time to get it to stay.

Best friend is trying to talk me out of surgery
Stephanie, My thoughts is that she is either jealous and insecure (worried that she would be considered the heavier friend) or she is completely uninformed about WLS. Do this for yourself. The sleeve is the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Sleeve scheduled for Dec 30th!!
Bernadette, I'm glad to hear you are feeling better :crying:.

Today's the day!

Has anyone had a problem with loose skin post-op?
Yes my tummy is pretty loose. I can sometimes see the my skin hanging off my legs, and my arms have a bit of the bat wing thing going on. But overall, I look much better now than at 247 lbs.

full liquids
I added either splenda or SF Monin/Torani syrups to improve the flavor. The vanilla & caramel syrups were the best.

It's time!!!!!!!
Woo Hoo!! Good luck tomorrow, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated on your progress when you can, we'll be waiting to hear from you.

WHY do i still feel fat???
I heard there is something like 30+ pounds between plus sizes and only 10 pounds (+/-) between misses sizes. I am finding this to be true - just like Tiff. Initially, took some time to get from 20W to 18W to 16W, then bam, in a 12M. So be patient Nikki, it will happen.

Personal Question - When did you have your first bowel movement?
I was kind of thinking the same thing. Urinate, yes, completely understand that one. But BM, hard to have one when they won't give you food. Even after both C-sections all I had to do was pass gas to be released from the hospital (and they were feeding me well).
